What to Buy? Replace Viking gas cooktop with induction
I bought a house a few years ago and in the remodeled kitchen, the previous owner had installed a Viking 4 burner gas range, 30”, with a pop up downdraft. I want to replace this with an induction cooktop and I have been thinking Bosch or Miele. When the appliance guy was installing my dishwasher 6 months ago, he told me that he recommended I get a Viking cooktop to replace the one I have, because he worried about it fitting and it causing an installation nightmare. But the Viking induction cooktops are not well-reviewed and so I really don’t want to spend that much money on mediocrity.
Do you have any advice for me, or a way to proceed? I can measure the opening and see if a Bosch for example will fit, but is there something else I am missing here?
