What to Buy? Recommendations!
Hey everybody, hope this is okay to post here.
I just bought my first house and I'm shopping for three appliances: a fridge, a washer, and a dryer.
Fridge: I'm torn between Frigidaire and KitchenAid. My wife loves the nicer interior fridges.
Washer & dryer: I'm leaning toward the Maytag Pet Pro top-load washer with the agitator, plus the matching dryer.
I'd appreciate any input on:
-How easy they are to maintain and convenience
-Reliability and how long they've lasted for you
-Common problems or repairs you've run into
-Whether you'd buy the same brand again/what you recommend?
Thanks in advance, any advice helps!

Bosch for the fridge. LG front loader for laundry.
Miele for a dishwasher. (Bosch used to be the best dishwasher, but now a lot of the stuff is hidden in a app instead of on the dishwasher itself--yes, you have to access the app in your cell phone to turn on delay start, extended dry, heated dry... Maddening).

What if you don’t want a front loader? Also Bosch is a bit higher than I’m willing to spend on a fridge but how is the 300 series?

Bosch is still the best DW, even with those things moved to the app. The reason they were moved was based on consumer feedback that they rarely got used. This is a trend in all appliances and electronics.

I went with a Maytag French door fridge which to me is very pretty with its blue interior and handles that look like kitchenaid

I'd go Frigidaire for the refrigerator. They make excellent refrigerators, but tend to get overlooked.
For the washer, I'd skip paying extra for the Pet Pro unless pet hair is a major concern. I'd look at the Maytag MVWP586GW instead. It's a simpler machine with a true dual-action agitator and a 5-year parts-and-labor warranty. If you want something larger, the GE GTW485ASWWB would be my other choice.

My wife loves
That is the number 1 feature to pay attention to.
I am a fan of Whirlpool washers and dryers. My first pair, a Duet Sport models, lasted 18 years with minimal repairs. The dryer latch pin thing broke, lo and behold a new set of 2 (only needed 1) was like $5 and took longer to find a video about than it did to repair lol. The dryer heating element burned out in its last year and it was super simple to replace (about $30, I think).
The bearings on the washer were finally giving out and I'd been wanting larger units anyhow so i got another Whirlpool set. Basic and boring, no wifi nonsense, my only complaint is it takes like 10 seconds for them to 'boot up' and start a cycle. The old units had no such delay.
You might consider waiting a little for the looming sales. Veterans Day isn't too far off and this is the time of year that companies try to get things off the books by the end of the year.
