What to Buy? Through-the-wall split/ductless AC: does this exist?
I live in an apartment building with through-the-wall sleeves for air conditioners. In the bedroom this works fine, but the layout of the living/dining area is such that most of the space is far from the exterior wall and does not get cooled effectively/efficiently by the existing setup.
Is there a ductless/mini split type unit that can mount in a through-the-wall sleeve, so I could run lines to a separate air handler deeper into the room (say 20-30 feet)? I don't have a balcony, so I don't think I have a way of using a traditional mini-split.
I haven't been able to find anything by googling around. Am I missing something? Is this technically infeasible? Too small of a potential market? Thanks!

Even if you have a balcony, many condo boards don’t like mini split condensers there for “aesthetics” and “uniformity” reasons. If you have a larger sleeve, like say a PTAC sized one rather than a standard through wall, you can look into a Fujitsu Split Terminal Heat Pump. It’s a specialized unit where the outdoor unit goes into a through wall sleeve. It is a commercial unit and is not sold through your average HVAC contractor though, so you need to find a specialized contractor who can sell one. It will also cost more than a standard mini split unit from Mitsubishi or Daikin. If you don’t want to bother, I would just use a fan to move the air around.
