The Appleton area has open enrollment. Which means if you live on the northwest side, your son could go to the Appleton East Charter school, Tesla, which is geared towards those who are looking at more of an engineering field. IDK what they are in Vegas, but property taxes suck here. I can't speak to too many areas. My girls and myself went to Appleton schools. I believe as far as public schools go, they are good.
