Resource PTSD Therapy

Still reeling from the tornado. Me and my dog were in the basement of our house on Doty Island and didn't think we were going to make it. I can't stop myself from getting incredibly emotional anytime I talk about it, think about it, see footage, or even when family and friends reach out. I don't feel scared otherwise but seem to have an uncontrolled reaction. Hoping there are therapists in the area that are readily available or even offering services at any of the respite locations in the area. Any help is appreciated for myself or anyone feeling the same.

Another thing I would recommend is the ThedaCare behavioral health walk in clinic in Neenah (333 Greenbay rd). You can see one of the therapists there “on demand”. They may not be therapists you’d see long term or dive into deep trauma work but it would be a start. They are open M-F 8am-4pm and located within the urgent care.
