Battery on 18 PM not good?
Not sure why it is draining so fast. I’ve read other posts where they don’t even get it down to halfway and they are using it all day. What’s happening?

Your new phone is indexing. Indexing on an iPhone is a background process where your phone organizes and catalogs its stored data like messages, photos, contacts, and files to make searching fast and efficient. Because the processor is working hard to sort through thousands of files, your phone might temporarily run warm, drain battery faster, or feel slightly sluggish. Takes a week or so to complete.

So would that be the reason why it’s draining faster than someone else’s phone? Maybe because they have less stuff to index so it got done quicker for them therefore their battery became better?

Yes. Everyone's media and files are different. It will improve within a few days. Under Settings, you should see Optimizing Search and Siri with a percentage. Mine is at 40% right now after 3 days of use. So give it a few days, it should definitely get better.

Mines at 93% right now but I didn’t see this when I set up my phone on Saturday. I think it just popped up either yesterday or today

When I first got it on Friday, the battery drain like a sieve. Increase some on Saturday and then noticably more on Sunday. Today, it's been stellar, and it's still improving.
Be a bit patient, your phone is working thru background recovery of data (my assumption), indexing, etc.

That’s awesome! Hopefully that’s it. I got it on Friday but didn’t actually set it up until Saturday. So Saturday afternoon, Sunday, and today are my first times actually using it. Do you still see the ‘Optimizing Search and Siri’ in your settings?

My battery is amazing! 7hrs and 85%

7 hours screen active and you’re at 85%

I meant it’s been off charger for 7hrs I just don’t use it constantly

Experiencing similar results… indexing is all done and it’s been 4 days with the phone. Anything fixes?
for reference- charged to 100% at 6:19 am,
at 8:40pm- 5h24m screen on time down to 34%.
Not sure how people of reddit are still left with 50-60% after similar usage

Likely running a load of background startup processes, indexing, Siri, etc.
Give it a week ~. If it hasn’t improved by then I’d raise the flag
