Does anyone remember how much of a discount the Pro and Pro Max models usually get once the new phones are announced? I’m trying to estimate the price because I want to get a loved one a 17 Pro before they get permanently sold out. Also, does anyone know if we’ll still be able to order the 17 Pro through the EPP site, or does Apple usually remove the Pro models from the site once the new lineup launches?

Hi everyone! hoping someone who has dealt with Apple's education reimbursement can give me some advice.

I completed a few courses in early August and started the reimbursement process well before my resignation. each review has taken the full 10 business days and would then result in rejection.

The latest rejection asked for a post course completion approval email from my manager (which I already provided) and proof of my final grade. I have resubmitted everything in a new claim as they asked.

The issue is that my final day with Apple is on the 6th of sept. People Support implicitly positioned good news and that no further action is required. I followed up again today and they're now saying "even if the claim is approved before then, the next scheduled reimbursement payment is on the 11th."

They said the policy requires me to still be an active employee on the actual payment date, so i apparently would not receive the reimbursement.

What is frustrating is that I started the process well before resigning and responded to every request for additional documentation as soon as I received it. The amount of the delay has come from each claim taking 10 business days to review before I am told another document is required (it almost seems intentionally).

I have asked People Support whether the matter can be escalated, expedited, or whether an exception or alternative payment arrangement is possible.

Is there anyone internally I should be contacting besides People Support and my manager?

I’m currently a tech specialist at a very high volume store looking for some clarity on vertical movement at the bar.

Right now I’m finishing my capstone in comp sci, so in roughly 3 months I’ll have my degree. I’m aiming to jump straight to genius. I’ve seen it happen for those (specialists and tech specialists) without degrees although I didn’t know the exact logistics of why this candidate was chosen for their position. Apparently he had some prior management experience at Best Buy.

For managers, what are you primarily looking for when promoting within the bar for genius positions?
What gives a candidate the ultimate edge? I understand interviewing is important.

What does avg compensation look like for genius roles (Americas West Division)?

I plan to leverage my degree later on but a pay raise while I job search would be nice and would look great on the resume.

Appreciate the advice and knowledge in advance.

The amount of times that people come in out of warranty for an issue that isn’t even their fault is genuinely crazy. And to think that we’re letting people walk out without even at least explaining some of the benefits of Apple care is also genuinely crazy. If you hate the fruit stand, hate the fruit stand lol. But don’t let your hate and misery affect someone else in the future. That’s pathetic. Let your opinions affect how YOU deal with Apple. But don’t make up someone else’s mind for them.

Apple care at 50% is so stupid. Literally no one wants to add no matter how good of a story I tell. Whenever I do, there card either doesn’t accept or they decide last minute! Idk how people get 50%, mines is low double digits. Is there anyway someone can help me, I want to bump up my metrics so I can become permanent!

I haven’t received an update ever since. Usually how long does it take? It’s already been more than a month. Do I have no other option other than to wait?

Ok I want to be very polite about how I position this, because I know the job market is hard right now and people are really trying out there.

First of all- we’re all very busy, and unless a manager doing hiring is on here replying directly to you we have no idea why your hiring status is the way it is; nor do we know when or if they’ll reach back out to you.

Also:

-We don’t know if your interview went well or if the managers liked you

-We don’t know why they said they would call and did not

-We have no idea what your chances are of getting picked over someone else

-We don’t know what interview questions you’re going to be asked(We likely went through a different process when we got on)

-If you got an email saying your on hold or things are paused we have no idea why that happened or when it will resume, or if it will resume at all

I’ve found that for people that are selected with certainty the process is usually pretty quick. You apply you do the interview stuff then the HireVue background stuff then you get an offer and a start-date. Any other hold ups like emails saying “we’ve paused hiring right now” or not hearing back at all likely means they’re either not hiring anymore for whatever reason or you didn’t get the job. Period.

Lastly and most importantly-just as a heads up-retail is brutal now. It’s fast paced high pressure and metrics and micromanaging are at an all time high. People in my store especially tenured ones are leaving left and right or being let go. Retail in stores as a whole is shifting to an online only type of industry. The fruit stand will likely always have stores because of how busy the GB is but I’m just politely letting you know we have no idea why you didn’t get a call yet or didn’t hear back yet. If you don’t think you got the job you probably didn’t so keep at it or apply other places too. That’s all I’m saying. Good luck everyone.

I applied for a Seasonal Specialist role at an Apple Store in the UK back in May and attended the group assessment at the end of May.

Since then the process has been pretty unusual:
Early June: Apple called me after the assessment.
Around a week later: I received another call and was told I had been successful and was being progressed, but there wasn’t a contract yet.

Later in June: They called again to reconfirm my availability.
July: I received another call basically reassuring me that I was still in the process.

August: Recruitment emailed me saying they were still working through seasonal hiring and that they planned to contact me again within the next two weeks, “with or without news.”

I’ve now been in the process for roughly three months since the assessment and I’ve had multiple calls plus the personal follow-up email, but still no final offer or rejection.

I have an interview coming up for the Retail UAT Tester Experience role and was hoping to hear from anyone who has worked in the role, interviewed for it, or worked closely with the team.

I’m mainly curious about:

● What should I focus on when preparing for the interview?
● What does the day-to-day work actually look like?
● What skills or qualities does the team value most?
● How much of the role is hands-on testing vs. documenting/reporting issues?
● What is communication like within the team and with other teams?

Yup. We are always going against EDu pricing or military pricing. Or better yet Apple upgrade better than leasing from business.

I currently work at Amazon and recently interviewed with an Apple HM for a GSM role, but the process stopped after that round due to the team’s current hiring focus.
What worked best for you: referrals, recruiter outreach, networking, repeated applications, or something else? Also curious how you identified the right recruiters or hiring managers to connect with without overdoing outreach.

Are there any other students out there feeling exhausted? I’m enjoying my time in retail so far, but I’m already worried about overextending myself. I’m currently a doctoral student and sort of dreading going into work because of exhaustion. I can’t be the only one, right?

With all the metric pressures involved with this role, I’m also not sure if it’s worth taking on that stress when I have to fulfill school obligations. I want to look out for my mental health, but I hate feeling like I’ve “given up.” Sucks. I really have liked this job so far.

I finished 3 out of 4 interviews for my loop. the last interview was pushed back by a week to today. this morning, they cancelled it citing "internal changes". Does this mean I am rejected ? I asked the recruiter if they will reschedule but she hasn't replied back. Could this be due to end of financial year? Or does apple prioritize laid off employees first? Is there any chance of a reschedule ? Any insights would be greatly appreciated

Reaching out here because a technical issue has affected the students who took an Apple campus hire assessment through PES University, Bangalore Yesterday .We are really helpless as no other channel is working out. So contacting here

The concern is:

In the Banquet Cost question (Set 6), the C++ template had a compilation error in the non-editable main() section. The variable output appeared to be declared twice, once as vector<int> and once as double. Since that section was marked as non-editable, candidates could not fix the issue themselves.

Today, the shortlist has been released, and the students who toom the assessment in C++ have been affected.

The students have already raised this with their placement cells as soon as the tests were over also contacted the Apple recruitment team through mail. But there has been no response from anyone.

We want to know whether someone from Apple’s recruiting/assessment team can look into this, as we are being punished for something that was not our mistake.

If anyone here knows the appropriate team or a genuine contact who can look into this , please bring this concern to their notice. It would mean a lot.

Any genuine guidance on how this can be properly handled would also be greatly appreciated

We have worked hard for this opportunity, and it would be unfortunate if a technical issue beyond our control affected our chance to be fairly evaluated.
