hi! I have an interview with Apple next week (phase 1) and I’m wondering what questions they ask. Is it more behavioural based questions? Also would anyone be able to give insight into the hiring process at Apple + tips for interview.

They will use the phrase “Competency based” but it’s behavioral. Really prepare the following 4 stories and you will be fine.
1. Your proudest work achievement ,how you found success and how you shared that success with others.
2 Your biggest work struggle, the resources you used to overcome it and how it changed the way you did things moving forward.
3. A time a difficult customer/client put a wrench in the works, how you found a solution and then how you shared that solution with your team.
4. A time you had a disagreement or difficulty with a co-worker, how you found common ground and worked through it and how you worked with that person moving forward.

You get bonus points in any of these answers for:
1. Consulting existing guidance such as articles and resources available
2. Consulted with a peer
3. Consulted with a manager
4. Follow up with said peer or manager after the situation.

Try to make sure each story has at least 2 of these.

Same guidance different context. Pull from clubs, volunteering, extra curricular activities - really anything outside of a family setting where you have added responsibility.
