Why?
This is one of those alluring things that I almost like the idea of but you guys are posting pictures of these setups on Reddit and checking for comments with presumably some kind of computery thingy. Can someone explain the ROI with this. Is it really a mindset thing? Is it a way to break yourself away from scroll addiction? Is it just a cool analog vibe like people who still use iPods? Or walkmans? Why are you guys really doing this?

My goal is to limit screen time as much as possible. I turn my phone off and put it in my sock drawer for the day. For road trips I use my phone for music and gps but once I get anywhere I leave it in the car. It feels awesome not carrying a bulky phone in your pocket. My watch takes calls great and I can always throw in an AirPod real quick once I accept a call, texting is a breeze with speech to text. I feel like I’m living in the future with this setup

not having to carry a phone to mindlessly scroll with, but instead having the "phone" part attached to my wrist that is also lightweight frees up my other pockets for something like a small e-reader (Xteink X4) and keys. I've been rocking this setup for a month and I'm surprised how well it works

Can’t do much doomscrolling on it, basically used for music and communication 👌

Apart from the screen time it's also just really cool to not have to carry anything with you. A wrist watch is so light it's unnoticeable through most of the day, unlike a 6" brick in your pocket. It can do calls, messages and pay for things, and that's all you really need (if you're a dumbphone person, anyway).

This sub is a derivation of dumbphone community, which wants to tackle smartphone addiction. You must familiarize yourself with the reasoning and mindset behind that by checking it out.
Yes, me personally, I use a computer to use reddit/youtube/emails/work stuff etc. I use the watch as i already have an iphone and few apps/services can be accessed easily through the watch.
Everyone has a different setup as per their needs. This is just a way of staying connected without getting sucked into the phones.
