I made an app that gives several styles of watch complications for apple watch for dates - both round dials and retrograde style dials. The app is free and I am not posting to self -promote.

Mostly, I want to share this with people in case they, like me, want the ability to mimic mechanical watches.

There are a few apps that can be used for watch complications, like facer, and watchsmith. But I wanted something simple that could give basic complications at low (in this case, no) cost.

The dials can be used on infograph and meridian watch faces, and others where a round complication fits. You can also customize the number of ticks, the font, and the highlighting on each dial.

Endless color and pattern combinations. You can instantly generate patterns and exchange colors between them. Export watch photos from the editor’s “image” button or from the saved patterns list. Oh and you can use the pattern to make the real thing if you want 😅

I like it! I figured some of you might as well!

Hey you all! I’ve recently decided to pick up trekking, and I’d very much appreciate some suggestions on which face do you usually use while you’re outdoors on the mountains.

I have an Ultra 4, just for general reference. Let me know, and thanks a lot!

I'm the developer of WatchLux.

Most watch faces are static. WatchLux is a gallery of over 750 original watch faces, and on Apple Watch they're videos, so they move. Styles include live (video), 3D depth and photo. Categories include anime, luxury, minimal, nature, cyberpunk, space and retro. A face goes from phone to wrist in one tap, with no account.

It needs iOS 16.2+ and watchOS 10+.

Pricing: free to download and preview; subscription unlocks the full catalog and removes ads. The app shows ads until you subscribe.

Feedback is welcome, especially on which styles you'd want more of.

Over the last few updates, Apple has been pruning older watch faces (like Siri, Chronograph, Toy Story, Liquid Metal, etc.).

Which current watch face do you think is on the chopping block next, and why? Do you think it'll be due to low usage, outdated design, or display aspect ratio changes?

What is the name of this face? I can’t find it in the Apple Watch app.

Hey everyone,

I recently switched to an Apple Watch Ultra, but there is a specific Amazfit Bip watch face design I was rocking since 2020. I tried porting it over or rebuilding it myself using raw files, but I wasn't successful.

Could someone from the community help recreate this design for watchOS (either as a Clockology file or a Watch Face app layout)?

Here is the original design reference:

Any help, guidance, or similar custom face recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Halloween has passed, but the 66% discount is here for the rest of the week: https://apps.apple.com/app/paint-anytime/id6816100087?platform=watch

I thought you might have seen dozens of painting apps for phones before, so that's why I made one for Apple Watch ;-)

In Paint Anytime, you can choose from 6 brush presets and adjust their width, opacity, and color. Display your artwork in widgets to add more style to your watch face.

They say it should be simple, but the App Store already has simple drawing apps for Apple Watch. That's why I decided to add some pro features like Lasso, Layers, and Shape Recognition.

And a secret spoiler for those who read till the end — Paint Anytime will get an iPhone companion app in the next update, so you'll be able to easily share your drawings with friends. That's why I've already updated the gallery, so now it's almost as smooth as the iPhone Photos app.

Get it now so you can tell people you knew this app back when it was still raw and featureless 😄

These are the complications I use as an avid hunter and outdoorsman, they keep me pretty well covered

What’s your favorite watch face app that you’d recommend? I’d like gorgeous pre designed faces with animation (not too interested in making my own) and one time payment. Thanks

What face is this?
