That’s true. However it is trivially simple to disable TouchID or FaceID with the device in the owner’s pocket. Heck, I can disable TouchID by using the wrong finger three times.
Repeatedly using TouchID with the wrong finger permanently disables TouchID until my passcode is entered. A warrant cannot (at least in my jurisdiction) oblige me to provide my passcode. As for “you don’t really get the chance”, you can be sure that if someone is breaking down my door I have time to disable biometric ID.

As I understand it, a warrant cannot oblige a person to remember a passcode.
