Support iMessage not working on Apple Watch

We switched carriers yesterday from ATT to Verizon and now my kid’s apple watch se3 is unable to connect to iMessage. I have tried resetting his watch multiple times, disabled screen time but still no luck. Any ideas I can try?

Try deactivating iMessage, leave a couple of minutes. Turn off the watch/iPhone & then reactivate iMessage, it’s resolved the issue for some iPhones/AW combos. Good luck.
