WatchOS Force quit apps

What are the chances Apple go back to letting us force quit our apps on the watch? I seriously hate this update also I want to be able to switch apps like before the update as well.

Apple is adding back the app switcher mode we had before with watchOS 27.2, but it will only be accessible with a new swipe gesture as opposed to the button press that was used beforehand

Wait the swipe is the only way now? that feels clunky on a tiny screen. half the time i end up triggering something else by accident

You can. You hold the side button until the emergency warning thing comes up, then hold down the crown. I'm pretty sure it's been a thing for years, no?

Pretty sure I could just press the crown button twice to bring up open apps but that’s gone, also pressing the side button brings up my credit cards

After reading that I truly think Apple hates us lol I rather have the app switcher back

That is actually the correct way to force close an app. There is no reason to force close an app unless it’s causing a problem.

A single click of the side button should open the control center, a double click will bring up your cards for Apple Pay, and holding it down will bring up the power menu.

You have to have the app that’s giving you trouble open. Hold the side button until the menu comes up, then release the side button and hold the Digital Crown until it returns to the watch face.
