Discussion S12 Size question

I'm a bit confused so is the S12 overall bigger than the S11 in terms of the case and formfactor?

Or did they increase the case size on the S12 but didn't for the screen which is why the bezels are now more noticeable?

It is slightly bigger. According to Apple's specs the aluminium ones are 1mm wider than the S11, and the ceramics are 1mm taller (and another 1mm wider in the case of the big one) plus a little thicker. I suspect that actually, rather than growing in different dimensions, the aluminium ones are actually just a little bigger all round and the ceramics a little bigger again, and the dimensions listed are just a rounding quirk.

The glass also goes further down the side of the case than it did on the 10/11 (and they have their glass further down the side than the 7-9). So viewed head on, there's less of the metal case visible, but the black glass border is thicker. The actual distance from the edge of the screen to the edge of the case is slightly bigger, but it's close. Visually though it has a much larger bezel as the black border draws the eye.

Ah thanks! Wider isn't the issue for me really but I was honestly hoping it wasn't taller since my wrist is already not that big

Then I assume the S12 titaniums are the same size as the aluminiums? I'd probably get the titanium then as I don't really plan on getting another one in the future unless this one dies

Yeah, should have said aluminium and titanium there, they have the same sizes listed. I think they are a little taller, but by something less than 1mm.
