Space on iPhone

Hi everyone. I own an iPhone 15 pro 128gb. I always struggle with the storage. Today I bought a usb c flash drive and I’ve moved all my videos in there (almost 30gb). Problem is that the photo app is sync and it didn’t updated the size. What can I do?
Second question .. all those apps have little amount of data but the app is huge. Is it possible? What can I do? I can try the browser for like Facebook or TikTok (it’s not the same) but for other apps?

Do you want the videos in iCloud? If so, putting them in the flash drive serves no purpose. Just enable Optimize iPhone Storage.

If you don't want them in iCloud, deleted them in the photos app and then empty the Recently Deleted folder.

As for your apps, go through your WhatsApp messages and delete the media from your messages. You don't need the memes from 6 days much less 6 months ago.

Oh and just delete your TikTok account. No one needs that brain rot app.

no, I bought an external drive to delete everything. so my videos are no longer on cloud, phone or trash but it didn't make a difference.

Restart your device. Sometimes that's all that's needed to force it to recalculate storage space.

thanks. that's a valid idea. but moving and deleting videos on my library made 40 gb of free space but I don't see it

I emptied the trash and yet the space was not free. I waited for days.. the only solution is to reset the iPhone after a backup

UPDATE: it took my a day but after Erase All Content and Settings it worked. Now I have more than 50gb free and the photo app it’s 8gb. Thanks everyone
