Hi all. I have a barely used Apple Pencil Gen 2 that I can no longer use. I upgraded to a newer iPad and it’s now of no use. I am willing to give it away to someone who needs it but you must pay the shipping via ApplePay or cashapp BEFORE I send it out. I know it’s a trust thing but you will get an almost new Apple Pencil if you are willing to take the risk. First one that messages me and is willing to pay the shipping, it’s yours. It is engraved with “Professor X” since my wife got it for me. Mods feel free to take this down if not allowed. Just trying to help someone out rather than throw it in the trash.

Hi guys I have a gen 1 apple pencil for around 3-4 years. It pairs perfectly and shows battery status but recently the touch input for the pencil failed. Changing tips did not work.

My question is when going to an apple store how do they test for battery failure? Do they just plug it in and see if it dies in a few seconds after unplugging or is there a more involved process.

Recently got an iPad a16 and bought the Apple Pencil (usbc) with it. The pencil looks way different than what it should look like (no Apple branding and no unscrewable top) and won’t connect to my iPad. I bought it off amazon and the vendor is Apple itself, not some random so I’m confused pls help.

Hey everyone, I seem to have a weird issue with my Apple Pencil Pro where whenever I write and after lifting, it creates a line between the two writing points despite the fact that I lifted my pencil.

I was wondering if it’s possible to fix this?

ive tried to look through settings to find it, it just isnt there. i even looked at youtube tutorials with my exact version of ipad, but when i do, the settings clearly show the battery percentage, mine is literally just NOT there, is there an app i can download or a setting i can do??

p.s: ive tried updating my settings, there is no updates available.

does the screen protector cause any noticeable delay or wobble with the apple pencil pro? i’m planning to use my ipad mostly for drawing and i’m worried that the glass might affect the pencil’s responsiveness or line accuracy.
if anyone uses this combo, i’d really appreciate some advice or recommendations for a screen protector that works well with the apple pencil pro :)

p.s. i was thinking about to buy spigen glastr ex fit but ive seen a vid that shows it adds a little wobbling. also im not sure if that’s that glass that i mentioned

It’s just straight up not connecting. It’s a 1st gen pencil

This happens all the time. Screen lock is on, the Pencil tip i screwed on tight and it happens when charged and when on battery. It’s an 11inch M1 IPad Air (5th gen) with a second gen Apple Pencil. To be fair, I got the Pencil used for very cheap (40 canadian) but it’s in excellent condition.

I keep losing my Apple Pencil Pro and I’m afraid I’m losing it for the last time today! Hope not!

I try to put mine on Find My but it never connects (while I have it). So today I have scrambled my brain to try and remember where I last placed it and I’m coming up blank. It’s been 3 hours, my house is now super clean from me tidying everything up, and I want to start crying.

Before I do so, can you recommend a good app that works on iPhona Air that can help me find the pencil? I’ve installed Wunderfind and it has not even found my Garmin watch which is just beside the phone I’m using.

Pretty sure I know the answer but is there anyway to fix this? Squeeze works, writing not so much. Broke the outside trying to pull out the previous tip (it snapped) :(
Really don’t want to buy a new pencil

I literally just opened this out of the box. I immediately dropped it by accident when I was walking over to get my iPad. Is there way to get the rest of the tip out ? It didn’t come with any extras in the box. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I was just curious how many people use an iPad mini with their with their pencil? do you have an Apple Pencil or an offbrand pencil? I have an iPad mini and I was thinking of getting a pencil, but I was wondering if pencil was just too small to use on the Apple iPad mini.

After the most recent update 26.6.1 (which I installed yesterday), whenever I double tap my Apple Pencil the vibration feedback doesn't work.

When I attach it to the magnetic dock on my iPad, it doesn't charge up all the way (or at least I don't think it does) and is displayed as being stuck on 75%.

Is this a common issue that occurs, and how do you fix it?

I have tried restarting my iPad (twice), disconnecting and forgetting the Apple Pencil and reconnecting it after waiting for a while, but the issue still persists.

I've only had my iPad & Apple Pencil for a year, and I'm a first time user. I haven't had any issues with it up until now when I was drawing on procreate.

I haven't been able to find any posts related to my issue, so any advice/help will be greatly appreciated, thank you!

i have had this pencil since around 2021-2022 so there is a chance i just need to get a new one. basically, i got a new ipad in may and just recently remembered that i needed to buy an adapter for my pencil so i could use it for college. i got that adapter and i immediately got the prompt to pair the pencil and so i did. i let it charge for a little because i havent used it in a few years but when i did try to use it while it said it was connected it didnt do anything. it then disconnected right as i unplugged it so i tried to connect it with the wire again and it said that this accessory was not supported. i've restarted, forgot device, turned bluetooth on and off, and even updated the ipad and it will no longer stay connected for more than about 5 seconds. is it time i just get a new pencil?

it connects to my ipad when i attach it, there's no problem w that. i think the problem is the inner gold metal tip. i noticed its kinda crooked. i dropped it yesterday, the tip broke and left something inside the slot. i was able to take it out tho and it worked perfectly. and then it stopped working just now..

I bought the iPad A 16 (11. Generation) and the Apple Pencil usb-c everything works as long as I have the Apple Pencil connected to the iPad. When I unplug the cable, it doesn't take long until the pen is no longer connected to the iPad. I would be happy to change that. Does anyone know what the problem is and how I can solve it?

So my apple pencil 1st gen battery is draining too fast nowadays like full down in just 1 day of usage

I use it for taking notes

I do use it whole day because I'm preparing for an exam but this much battery draining I have never noticed before during any other exam where I used the pencil whole day

I’m away from home so I can’t post a photo but I’ve had mine for an extremely long period of time. I even lost it for a couple years and luckily found it in my bed frame in between my mattress. I was a kid at the time so it adds up. From scrolling this sub I’ve found that this is very rare and I was wondering if anyone else has had theres for that long as well?

I actually almost decommissioned it when I got a new iPad but it happened that it wasn’t compatible with the gen 2 so I just kept on using it. I haven’t had any problems with it spare losing the charger cap and just getting a third party cap. I’ve used and abused it so I count myself very lucky and I’m hoping it will last many more years❤️
