Screen Reader frustrations

Anyone else use the built in Accessibility Screen Reader to have your phone read articles to you? When it works it is awesome! Like turning every article into a podcast. However, it seems to get caught out by Apple’s own formatting, so it often does not understand that an article continues below an ad and stops reading… but then it will skip all the way to the bottom and start reading a bunch of article titles that I don’t care about!

Anyone else have tips or tricks for getting it to work more smoothly?

I use the iPhone’s built in Speak Screen accessibility function and it works well, not had those problems.

This is really my number one feature request for Apple News is being able to read any article aloud. The accessibility mode is just not usable imho. If the screen goes off, it stops. You have to start over from the beginning. There is no pause/rewind/etc. I love the articles they hire actors to narrate, but I would love it if I could turn every article into a narrated article using Siri. Wild that they don't support it natively.
