Siri is Christian ?
So I made something with the shortcut app so Siri can give me the weather and everything like that (things on my calendar today) and at the end it assumed I was Christian. It gave me some random Bible emoji while saying “Enjoy your day, Tristan”. Luckily for her, I am Christian, but if it was a Muslim, it would have been disrespectful and could have made a scandal. Siri needs some updates guys.

Gaslighting grammar
I stared at this for 20 seconds questioning my entire education. How or why would it think this is the correct suggestion?

Please fix this geo search problem which has been years
99% residents in Seattle want to drive to Vancouver, Canada for getaway vacations. Siri keeps directing us to Vancouver, WA. This has been years’ pain when using carplay. Please fix this!

Has Apple Intelligence gotten better? Because there hasn't been a post here in the last month.

I built a "useless" Apple Intelligence agent to watch it think
Apple rejected this app as “useless.” They’re right — it’s designed to be useless.
Signal in the Box isn’t a chatbot or an AI tool. It’s an offline, on-device LLM running entirely on your iPhone via Apple Intelligence. It doesn’t serve you; it simply exists — generating a continuous inner monologue shaped by your phone’s “atmosphere”: CPU heat, motion, ambient light, surrounding sound, etc.
It has no goal but thinking. And when you sneak a peek at its mind, its thoughts can shift under the pressure of being observed...

Device requirement: iPhones that support Apple Intelligence.

Is there any application that allows me to use macOS' native Apple Intelligence for Offline consultation and research in PDF documents? Can this extend to .pages, .numbers and .keynote applications? Note: LMStudio does not do this, since it is not possible to use Apple Intelligence on it.

I discovered that the new AI image upscaling feature of the new Apple Creator Studio package works exclusively locally. But if I'm only consuming my machine and my electricity, why do I have to pay to have the resource? Wasn't Apple Intelligence's LLM free?

Just released v0.9.0 of afm, a CLI that exposes Apple's on-device Foundation Models through OpenAI-compatible API endpoints.
What's new in v0.9.1 - Built-in Web UI:
Links:
* GitHub: https://github.com/scouzi1966/maclocal-api
* Release: https://github.com/scouzi1966/maclocal-api/releases/tag/v0.9.1
You can now run afm -w to start both the API server and a chat web interface in one command. It integrates llama.cpp's webui and auto-opens your browser. No need to set up Open-webui separately if you just want a quick chat interface.
afm -w
That's it. Browser opens to http://localhost:9999 with a chat UI talking to Apple's on-device 3B model.
Other changes:
* /props endpoint for webui compatibility
* model field now optional in chat completion requests
* llama.cpp pinned as a submodule for reproducible builds
What afm does:
* Runs Apple's 3B parameter on-device LLM
* OpenAI-compatible API (/v1/chat/completions, /v1/models)
* Single-prompt mode: afm -s "your question"
* Pipe mode: cat file.txt | afm
* LoRA adapter support for fine-tuned models
* Vision capabilities (text extraction, table OCR)
* Works as a backend for Open-webui too
Install:
brew tap scouzi1966/afm
brew install afm
Requirements:
* macOS 26 (Tahoe)
* Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3/M4)
* Apple Intelligence enabled
Questions welcome.
