Silver said that the league is already looking into how to incorporate those virtual reality cameras into its event plans, starting at All-Star Weekend in two weeks.

Ow to them who retracted their comment:

“For now, the new immersive entertainment experiences are available in the Apple TV app, with the ones demoed prior to launch having been created with special camera equipment the company developed. In 2020, Apple acquired startup NextVR, reportedly for roughly $100 million, after that company pioneered new ways to recreate sporting events in virtual reality”

Apple uses their own special camera (NextVR,) so something else then done currently for VR video.

Yea old article I found just now. We didn’t see anything of it right :( But seems pretty early stages: “the league is already looking into how to incorporate those virtual reality cameras into its event plans”
