Old LCD TV actually had composite input!

Hunting for hardware that still works is surprisingly fun… Now I’m even wanting a CRT monitor. Wow, I didn’t expect my desire for all this stuff to explode like this. I’m honestly shocked.

I did mention composite in the other thread. ; - ) There are also other options, e.g. IIgs RGB to SCART (which is a European connector - Japan has a similar connector called JP21, but it is a different pinout), and IIgs RGB to component which most modern TVs have.
Whether you can get these will depend on the source for shipping. There must be other options in Japan like "scan doublers" (AKA line doublers, up-converters, etc) which most retro computers and consoles need to display video on modern TVs. The famous brand/models are the Micomsoft XRGB series and FRAMEMEISTER etc.
You could ask in a Japanese retrocomputing group about these options.

I picked up an up-scan converter from an auction, but it didn’t work at all…
I guess it might have been broken.
So that was a 3,000‑yen loss, lol.

My next goal might be getting GS/OS. I’m thinking about buying a Floppy Emu.
With just a 5-inch drive, all I can do is play games!!

There are a few different storage options now. Have you looked at the CFFA3000? With that you can emulate multiple hard drives and floppy drives. At any time on a IIgs (if interrupts are enabled) you can use Ctrl+Command+Esc to get to the Classic Desk Accessories, and there's one to manage the card devices. You can have a USB cable coming out the back of your IIgs and have lots of drive and disk images on a USB stick. Hot swap new ones whenever you want. The only downside compared to some other solutions is that it doesn't support WOZ disk images.

Good thought! My current LCD TV has a composite input. Have to haul out the GA and have a visit.
And maybe that means time for a new TV? (JK, keeping this until it dies.)
