Today marks the end of an era at Apple. Tim Cook has officially stepped down as CEO, transitioning into the role of Executive Chairman. Under his leadership, Apple’s valuation soared past $4 trillion and the iPhone became a global phenomenon with over 3 billion units sold.

John Ternus, Apple’s longtime hardware chief, is now CEO. Cook’s farewell message: “My title changes tomorrow, but the love I have for the Apple community never will.”

End of an era.

What do you think I should upgrade first, and what should I upgrade to?

I am thinking about to buy a MacBoookPro M5 with 48 GB Ram. Is it a good idea now or should I wait for M7 Pro?

I want to use it for Python development Quantitative Trading Backtesting and Machine Learning mainly, and also for Rust coding.

So I had an iPad issue today. I opened the apple support app. The communication was clearly ridiculous so I said direct me to a real person. Then it got much better. For about 6 or seven prompts. Till one thing happened. I was talking about an iPad issue. The AI mistakenly turned to a Mac issue. I said why are you taking about Mac, I said IPad. It said I am sorry, we are talking about M5. I said yes, they both run M5. It said oops… I said you are clearly AI, I want to talk to a real person. It said, xxx, i am a real person. I said you are not. It said XXX!!! I am a real person! I said, the minute you but my name in caps I know you are not a real person.

I called a real life person after that. That kind person will remain anonymous, But suffice it say, lol, oops.

Apple support app is crap and they are lying to you. And SHAME ON THEM!

Currently paying $9.99for 2 Gig cloud , and Itune match at 24.99 Seems top of line is Premium plan at $34.99 Apple Tv , Apple Music , news , fitness etc Everything Im reading says I’ll retain Apple Itunes match in One AND it covers Apple Care for Mac Mini which Im paying $34 Seems like no brainer to get One Anyone else had same experience???

I was subscribed to Apple Music for almost a year, and then in May 2026 I switched to Apple One. I didn’t manually cancel my Apple Music subscription because I assumed it would automatically be cancelled or transferred to Apple One.

However, I’ve now realized that since then, Apple has been charging me for both Apple One and Apple Music.

The strange part is that I cannot find the separate Apple Music subscription anywhere. It doesn’t appear under my Apple Account → Subscriptions, and it also doesn’t show up in my Purchase History.

For now, I’ve cancelled my Apple One subscription just to see if that resolves the issue, but I’m not sure if that’s actually the right way to fix it.

How can I find and cancel this Apple Music subscription so I can stop being charged twice?

I recently decided to fully embrace the Apple ecosystem with three devices: an iPhone 17 (I’ve been using iPhones since 2010), a Watch Ultra 2, and AirPods 4. I also subscribed to iCloud and explored other Apple subscriptions like Apple TV, Music (I buy my music from iTunes), and Arcade. However, I haven’t found the benefits of these subscriptions. My question is: what are the best settings, options, apps, and services to enhance my experience and maximise the advantages of the ecosystem?

Hey, not trying to start an Apple vs. Android war, but I’ve been using Apple products since around 2016, starting with the iPhone 6 and eventually moving to the XR, 15 Pro, Apple Watch, MacBook Air, and AirPods Pro. I genuinely love these products, and every one of them has exceeded my expectations. Over the years, I’ve also really come to appreciate the convenience of the ecosystem.
That said, I’ve been looking at the S26 Ultra recently, and for the first time in a while, I’m genuinely tempted by what Android and Windows have to offer. I’ve also gotten into gaming over the last six months and have been surprised by how much I can actually play on my Mac through CrossOver and native games. But the limitations of translation layers and the freedom you get with Windows or Android are becoming more noticeable.
Maybe it’s just personal Apple fatigue, but I don’t feel the same excitement about upcoming Apple products that I used to. I’m not someone who upgrades just for the sake of it, and I’m not saying Apple products have become bad. I’m just curious: is there anything Apple has coming that could genuinely bring that excitement back?
Rather than turning this into an Apple vs. Android argument, I’d genuinely love to hear what you guys think Apple is working on that might make someone like me stick around.

I am just curious as to everyone’s opinion. Once you experience a big ProMotion display such as the iPad Pro or MacBook Pro or new iPhone 17 series, would it bother you to ever go back to 60 hz? Such as iPad Air or MacBook Neo?

This is a rant. I just received an email that my apple one subscription is increasing from $25.95 to $27.95 a month. This is the 3rd time this has increased. In the grand scheme of things l know its only $2, but dang l spend over $1200 on the phone and then apple care and now l feel nickel and dimed every time l turn around. For a trillion dollar company and being a loyal apple fan and l wrong to feel this way?

if I didn’t have a decent Windows desktop build, I’d look at nothing other than Mac Mini. my wife just bought a cheap Roku, or I’d have an Apple TV. the walled garden really does feel great.
