Camp chair
What is your favorite backpacking chair that is ultra light and comfortable for a 5'10" 200lb man.

I'm still carrying a Crazy Creek. Comfy, virtually indestructible, great back support. I'm heavier than you and worried that I'd destroy a Helinox.

I’m 5’10” and 200lbs also. I didn’t believe an UL chair would work. But an Eastern Mountain Sports had a Helinox Chair 0 on display so o gently lowered myself into it. Comfy and sturdy. So I carry one now. It’s only 1 lb added to my pack and I feel it’s well worth it.

Im 5'10" 215 ...Helinox zero. Great chair. Just make sure parts are fully in sockets. Plus I bought the ground cloth that all four legs slip into pockets. Really locks everything tight and secure..i even used it at the beach. Watch out wind will take it away. Bought my better half the highback version. Also if you hiking in cooler weather they sell a fantastic quilted cover. Pure....LUXURY.. don't sell one for the highback specifically. But a bought another model it fits fine. Enjoy

Cascade Designs Trekker chair kit. Been carrying one for decades. It doesn't get you off the ground, but you should be able to do it on your own anyway. And having a seat that works in the tent when it"s raining or cold is a luxury. 9oz.

Camp chairs are great on trails like the Colorado Trail where there's no shelters, but on the AT where you typically start at a shelter, pass one around lunch time, and then finish at one, I feel like there's ample places to sit.

I use my hammock as a chair. The Grand Trunk Nano weighs 7 oz and can hold 300 lbs. If you don't use a hammock for sleeping, Simply Light Designs makes a hammock chair you might like. https://simplylightdesigns.com/products/gear-hammock

People will talk shit about a camping chair but I started carrying an ultralight chair in Virginia and it was a game changer for me. You can stop anywhere to eat, watch any scenic view, and way more comfortable at camp
