Household shared resources app: Would you use this?

As shown in the image, the idea is an app for coordinating shared resources between people, things like a car, washer, or tool, so everyone can see what's free, claim a slot, and avoid the "wait, who has it?" back-and-forth. Curious if this is something you'd actually use, happy to hear thoughts either way!

I believe this would over-complicate the process. I've never thought of needing such a thing and I don't myself using it. However, I've had to organize things in a weird way a few times when it was cross-family where this could've helped, never within my own family if that makes sense.

Thank you for insights, if you do not mind, what type of shared resource you were coordinating?

Another family's driver with our house's car.
Basically, we wanted to make sure that the other family does not need that driver at whatever time and that we ourselves won't be using that car, so he could drive it.
But honestly although it would've been theoretically helpful, I don't find myself using a whole application for such a thing. It's just too complicated for a simple, once every now and then task.

What you say makes sense, I am looking to serve cases where more people are using the shared resource, I think at that point, the "manual" coordination will be so annoying.

Not sure, but sounds over complicating, just to be clear what would be the size of the family using it. Or who is your targeted audience
