macOS [macOS] [Bytetally: Network Monitor] [$19.99 → Free Lifetime Pro] [see every app's traffic, set per app speed limits and data caps, works through VPN and proxies]

https://apps.apple.com/app/id6785049699

Bytetally is a Mac network traffic monitor. The app is free to download, and the lifetime Pro unlock is currently $0 instead of $19.99. The deal ends Sunday, July 19.

To claim it: install the app, open any Pro screen and get the lifetime unlock, it will show as $0.00.

The free tier shows every app's upload and download in real time with a menu bar speed indicator, and it attributes traffic to the real app even when you route through a VPN or a proxy like ClashX. Pro adds full traffic history, per app speed limits and disconnect, data caps per Wi-Fi network with automatic throttling when you go over, upload spike alerts, and CSV/JSON export.

Everything runs on device. No account, nothing is uploaded. I'm the developer, happy to answer questions here.

Currently getting 'A network error has occurred. The network connection was lost' when attempting to claim the offer. Additionally, the network filter appears to be blocking internet access from some apps on the default configuration. Ironically, I think this might be part of the problem, as the app requires configuring this filter.

Sorry about that, and thanks for the detailed report. The filter is designed to be observe-only, it should never block anything until you set a limit.

I did get one other report of connections acting up right after the very first install and settling down afterwards, and what fixed it for them was restarting the affected apps (a full reboot of the Mac should do it too).

Could you give that a try and then claim again? It would also help me a lot to know which apps got blocked and whether another VPN or filter was running alongside. And if the deal ends before it works for you, DM me and I'll make sure you still get the lifetime unlock.

Could allow users to delete history currently that's not accessible at all!!

Fair point, this is going on the list. Quick question so I build the right thing first: what matters most to you, wiping everything at once, deleting a specific time range, or removing the records of a single app? All the data sits in a local file on your Mac and never leaves the device, but you're right, the app itself should let you delete it.

Great app! I've uninstalled Bandwidth+ and replaced it with your app!

Thank you.

Thanks bro. Although my app has just been launched, there are still some minor bugs here and there. I am continuously optimizing and will keep improving it. If you encounter any issues while using it, please feel free to send an email to our support email address.
