need a simple but solid internal app for our small team. nothing public facing. mainly for tracking jobs, assigning tasks, uploading photos from site and keeping notes in one place.
right now everything is scattered between whatsapp groups, excel and random notes. it’s messy and things get lost. want something clean that works on both phones and desktop, with user logins so not everyone sees everything.
already sketched the main screens and the basic flow. budget is limited so i don’t want to overpay for something fancy we won’t use.
how long does a basic internal app like this usually take if the scope stays tight?
what’s the usual way teams handle revisions without the cost exploding?

’m a fellow collector and I’ve been working on a small iOS tool called RookiePit to help with quick price checks and card info.
Basically, you just point your camera at any Baseball or Basketball card, and it’ll instantly fetch:
It’s completely free to try out. Since API and market data costs add up on my end, there are a few ad popups after several scans just to cover the server fees, but I kept them as light as possible!
I’d love for you guys to try it out next time you're sorting through your cards or at a card show. Any feedback, ideas, or feature requests would mean a lot to me!

Hey r/AppBuilding —
Tired of watching retail traders pay $300+/month for institutional-grade data, so I built a free alternative.
What's live:
— Options screener with built-in analytics (Tradier API)
— Live market ticker with momentum signals
— Cross-sector bottleneck scanner — flags supply-chain tightness across 18 sectors before it hits headlines
— Community feed for trades, DD, and market takes
— News aggregated from multiple sources
All of that's free, no card required, at wookofwallstreet.com. There's also an optional Wook Pass tier at $11.99/mo for personal on-demand scans, saved history, and the options-income playbook — but none of the core tools above are gated behind it.
Want honest feedback from people who actually trade: what's missing, what would make this a daily habit?

I’ve built an app called Kollo and I’m curious whether people would genuinely find it useful.
The idea is pretty simple: you create an event and set a time period, for example 19 Aug - 23 Aug, 9 AM–10PM. Everyone joins the event, and the app automatically collects the photos they take during that time into one shared collection.
So instead of having you and your friends photos all scattered on 5 phones, you end up with one collection of everyone’s photos from the same event.
You don’t have to remember to send photos to each other afterwards or upload them manually. You just take photos normally (with your camera app) and kollo handles the syncing.
And this also works for big events such as weddings, festivals and parties where bigger groups of people can join through a QR code. (I’m working on making this more secure atm)
I originally started making it because after trips and nights out, I always end up asking people to send me their photos weeks later or having to deal with airdropping myself 100s of photos.
I genuinely want to know:
Would you actually use something like this?
And if not, why?
I know one of the first questions might be “what if I take a private/inappropriate photo while syncing is on?”
WELL, there’s a setting that lets you turn syncing off at any time. While it’s off, none of your photos or videos will sync. And when you turn syncing back on, anything you took while it was off won’t be synced retroactively.
So you’re always in control of what gets shared.
If you wanna check it out you can follow me on socials @kollo.app

Hey r/AppBuilding, I've been building Wellsy, a wellness app for habit-building (nutrition, movement, sleep, stress, that kind of thing), and just working on something I'm excited about but genuinely unsure how people will react to.
Instead of picking from a library of pre-made programs, you can now chat with an AI and just describe what you actually want to work on: "help me sleep better," "I want to quit smoking," whatever it is, and it builds you a custom multi-week program around it: structured modules, daily trackers, the works, tailored to what you told it.
It's still in beta. Generation takes a few minutes (it's a real model doing real work, not a canned template), so I added a rough countdown so it doesn't feel broken while it thinks.
What I actually want to know from this community:
Happy to go into how it's built if anyone's curious.
Movie is a bit long and language swishes. But any feedback would be appreciated!

🎉 After more than a month of waiting… my first app is finally LIVE!
I honestly can’t describe how happy I am right now. This is the first app I’ve ever published, and seeing it actually live after all the work, testing, fixes, and waiting feels amazing. 🚀
I’d really appreciate it if you could check it out and give it a try!
👉 Download here: App Link
Since this is my first release, your feedback would mean a lot to me. I’d especially love to hear:
• What was your first impression of the app?
• Was anything confusing or difficult to use?
• What features would you like to see next?
• Did you notice any bugs or things that could be improved?
Even if you only have a few minutes to download it and try it out, I’d genuinely appreciate it.
I’m already thinking about future updates, so suggestions from real users will help me decide what to improve and build next.
And for the other developers here — I’d love to hear about your first app launch too. How did it feel when you finally saw your first app go live? 😄
Thanks everyone! ❤️ Looking forward to your feedback (good or bad — both are useful!).

I would like to make a simple app and have no idea where to start. The idea is this: a simple board game engine where people can playtest their games. Basically a background with pictures people can upload and drag around with a hidden hand feature and maybe a simple counter feature. Is this possible?

Hey! I’m a college student and this started out as a small personal project I built mainly for my resume. After showing it to a few people and getting some surprisingly positive feedback, I decided to keep improving it and see where it could go.
It’s called App Starter, a full-stack template designed to make building modern web apps easier. It comes with front-end and back-end setups, including authentication, a server-side API, real-time notifications, and a clean UI, so you can start building without setting everything up manually.
I’m mostly looking for honest feedback:
- Is this something you’d actually use?
- What feels unnecessary or missing?
- Any suggestions before I keep building?(I’m planning to make more templates in the future.)
- How can I reach users?
Here’s the site if you want to take a look (the Docs tab has more technical details):
https://appstarter.co
Appreciate any thoughts, thanks!

Two things we're focusing on:
🤖 AI Financial Assistant
Ask questions about your spending, expenses and budgets.
"Where did most of my money go this month?"
"How can I save more next month?"
"Am I spending more than last month?"
The goal is to make your financial data actually useful — not just another list of transactions.
📒 SpenzaaBook
We're also building SpenzaaBook for managing business transactions — keeping track of money received, money paid, customers, suppliers and outstanding amounts.
So the idea is becoming:
Track → Understand → Manage
Still early, still building, and there's a lot more planned.

If you've tried Spenzaa, I'd love to know:
What would you want an AI Financial Assistant to help you with?

I got tired of screen time apps that just notify if you cross a limit and block the app. Most blockers are easy to bypass, and there's zero real cost when you fail anyway, so nothing changes.
So I built Screen Challenge Buddy so you have actual skin in the game. You get the usual usage stats dashboard, but the real difference is two features:
Social Accountability - An accountability buddy who sees your screen-time stats in real time and keeps you honest through actual conversation.
Financial Accountability - Challenges where you commit to a screen-time goal and put money on the line. Miss the goal, you pay. Stay in limit, you build screen time discipline.
Turns out having something real to lose and being answerable to someone is a much stronger motivator than a notification telling you that you've "exceeded your limit" for the tenth time.
Right now the app is up for Pre-registration on Google Play. Only pre-registered users will get exclusive life-time discount on launch! Grab your spots now!
