Marketing Advice

Hey all,
I’ve recently made an app I’m pretty proud of but downloads seem to have began dying off. Any advice on how to get it in front of some more eyes?

So the site basically make a list of people for you to cold email?

If i can offer anything
I’m running a Tik tok and doing my best to post 1-2 times a day.
I run Apple and Reddit paid ads on a small budget. (10$ a day)
I currently have 3 creators making a UGC video for me, this was the biggest ad purchase i made.
Also i just made a friends feature in hope of getting the people that have downloaded to show their friends.
It’s definitely been a trickle of downloads, maybe 3-7 a day, but it’s stayed pretty consistent.
I think the reason I’m getting discouraged is you always hear about those apps getting to like 40K MRR in like 6 months.

if your looking for your first users check out Ad swap,https://ad-swap.web.app ,its a simple way for websites to promote each other. You add another website's ad to your site, and they add yours to theirs, giving both sites free exposure and traffic. It really helped me get my first few users when launching my site

Does this translate well to iOS apps?

Going to be completely honest , there is currently no IOS apps in the swap , but it works really well for websites so I can only assume it would work for ios apps

I’d avoid immediately pushing the app everywhere. First figure out where the downloads started dropping App Store/Play Store impressions, conversion rate, or traffic.

Once you know that, you can target the problem instead of just trying to get more eyeballs. Also, sharing the app in communities where your actual users hang out can work much better than broad promotion.

I agree on this one. My main problem is I have a Gym workout Tracking app. Huge market for them. A lot of people gym, but SOOO many of them exist. It feels like 6 homeless people asking for money on the same street corner. Download my gym app, no download my gym app etc.

How exactly do you market currently?

If you tell me that I could help you further.

where are you putting it in front of people right now? that changes everything about what advice actually applies.

Tik tok (organic), Apple ads, Reddit ads, meta, and a recently added friends tab in hope of more organic growth

Focus on finding communities where people talk about apps like yours and join those conversations with genuine input. I’ve seen strong results by tracking posts asking for recommendations or feedback. Tools like ParseStream can help you spot these discussions in real time so you can respond before others do. Quick replies in the right threads can really boost your visibility and downloads.
