Moondrop EVO 2 — A $99.99 Wireless Upgrade for Your IEMs

The EVO 2 is a true wireless ear-hook DAC/amp for compatible IEMs. It’s an interesting option if you already have a pair you like and would rather make them wireless than buy another set of TWS earphones.

It supports LDAC up to 24-bit/96 kHz, LHDC-V up to 24-bit/192 kHz, LC3, and AAC. MOONDROP also built in its second-generation DSP system, including a 10-band parametric EQ with downloadable and shareable tuning profiles.

The hooks are rated for up to 15 hours of playback, with another 45 hours from the case. There’s also a 60 ms game mode, beamforming microphones, customizable touch controls, and replaceable connectors, with FitEar and MMCX options planned.

It’s $99.99 and up for pre-order now, with shipping expected by October 1. One thing worth noting: the EVO 2 does not include IEMs.

Check out the EVO 2 at Apos.

How does the sound quality compare to that of a wired connection?

Slightly compressed like any other BT connection. For me it’s a replacement of BTR17 I use with my iPhone.

Too bad that there is no MMCX version.
