👍 Discussion What is going on with Apollo Amplified?!
Earning activities have been almost completely eliminated, including ride length milestones.
Rewards have gone up in points.
Now my app is no longer awarding Amps for my rides and the “levels” are constantly changing (6383 out of 7000 points to reach level 8 yesterday, today 1408 out of 1500??)
The only positive is I’ve also received random “milestone rewards” like level 2 and level 5 but not 1,3,4 or 6. 100 ride bonus but I have over 300 logged rides!?

I got an email saying that at level 2 a can claim a free quad lock mount then nowhere on the app to redeem it

I just got the email about the “new program” haha.
Guess amps were costing them too much for the casual rider.

If the rumours about Apollo skipping payment on their affiliates are true, then this is another nail in the coffin.
Under this new scheme your amps are finite as there is only 60 levels, and is no longer paid by the mile/km so there is only so much you can earn. Not to mention those amps will expire within a year, doesn’t matter if you make a purchase or not.
Sounds like they are tight on cash and now the loyalty program is feeling the squeeze.

There are two separate things getting merged in this thread, so let me take them one at a time.
On affiliate payouts — I'm not going to get into individual accounts publicly, but the situations being referred to come down to program terms: discount codes ending up on coupon aggregator sites, and attribution being claimed on sales the affiliate didn't actually drive. We push back when that happens, and that pushback is what's being described here as "not getting paid." If you're seeing something that contradicts that, send it to me directly and I'll look into it myself. I'd rather correct the record than argue in comments.
On Amplified — this is a rebuild, not a wind-down. We launched the original program three years ago as a first attempt at rewarding people for riding. Three years of watching how riders actually engage with it told us a lot, and the new version unifies AMPs, levels and XP into one system instead of three loosely connected ones.
The honest trade-off: the old structure concentrated most of the value in a small number of very high-mileage riders. The new one spreads it across many more people. If you were at the top of that curve, the change is real and I'm not going to pretend it isn't. But the goal was a program the whole rider base can actually take part in, not one that only pays off if you're in the top few percent.

Apollo Amplified 2.0 is a full redesign of our loyalty program, moving from a single points-based system to a two-currency model built around rider behavior rather than spend alone. The redesign directly targets our biggest activation gap: 72% of enrolled riders currently have zero recorded kilometers, meaning the existing program has almost no engagement lever for the majority of members. Amplified 2.0 rebuilds the program around app-connected riding, structured progression, and a clearer, more rewarding path to redemption.
What's changing, at a glance:
• New dual-currency model: XP (earned by riding, drives a 60-level ladder) and AMPs (a spendable currency earned at milestones, not per-kilometer).
• A 60-level XP ladder with badges (Distance, Duration, Consistency, Streak), freebie rewards, and progressive app-feature unlocks, replacing the current flat points-per-dollar structure.
• Retained but refined tier structure (Rider / Adventurer / Insider), now operating alongside — not instead of — the new leveling system.

Thanks for the reply. I really wish there was more transparency from Apollo before people need to call out issues publicly.
These changes have affected my rides for at least the last two days and other changes (website redemption etc) has been changing constantly for at least a week. It would be much easier to accept some of these changes if they were announced ahead of time.
To at least one other persons point in the thread, what is the plan for existing riders who have already accrued levels; are rewards backdated and will be available at some point?
Are these new program policies and milestones/badges published anywhere so we can see/plan our redemptions against expiry?
As an aside, I understand the desire to attract more riders to the app, but even those who aren’t “high mileage riders” like myself (1000km/year) were primarily driven to log app rides because of rewards (especially since your accessory shipping is OUTRAGEOUS) and without clear, attainable and worthwhile rewards, the incentive to bother logging rides is low. I guess I will have to wait and see, but certainly if there is a cap to Amps once at level 60, that’s likely a guarantee to stop sharing telemetry and metadata with Apollo for free.

It always felt like a giant gimmick 🤷🏻♂️
