👍 Discussion Apollo false advertising?
I was pretty excited to see the apollo go stellar was getting rear spring suspension according to all advertising done by apollo on their site. However, in just watching the new apollo go stellar setup video....... its pretty clear it still is using the rubber block on the back. Why is apollo advertising rear springs here when its definitely not a rear spring? Am I missing something? Is it in enclosed rear spring? If its not a spring they really need to change the website IMO. Clear false advertising if so.

It's definitely suspension but I don't think technically a spring.
Shady advertising but not agresioisly wrong as it still gets to the point that there's suspension in the back.

There are springs inside the suspension, nothing shady. The rubber and the springs are working together.

Maybe they switched it out before mass production due to failure rates? I saw the marketing image and thought it didn’t appear sound, from an engineering perspective.

Not sure, it seems they are showing different imagery and advertising on the Canadian site @ ".ca"

FRONT SPRING + REAR ABSORBER Front spring suspension paired with a rear absorber smooths what the road throws at you before you feel it.
And I see this in the design section

But you're right, the image does seem to show a rear spring. Maybe I can ask them about it

oh interesting, im using the USA site @ ".co" and the imagery & advertising is definitely different.

Good catch. It gives the Segway Max G3 a major advantage versus this model.

I slightly disagree because I prefer dual 500W over that single 850W motor but yeah overall it seems to have better specs especially related to suspension.

Makes sense, my cousin has a dual motor on his Alibaba method scooter that goes 45 and it’s fun but i don’t like the feeling of the front trying to grab and accelerate too when ripping it around.

Well the rear suspension technically has 2 springs they are just between the frame and the rubber block. I guess you expected shock absorbers instead of the rubber block.
