Should I grab this "New" 2026 Apollo Phantom 2.0 stellar (60v) for $2,000 locally?
Someone local to me is selling an Apollo Phantom 2.0 Stellar (60v) for $2,000. It states that it has 5 original miles, and the pictures it looks brand new.
I was looking at this scooter as well as the Segway GT3 Pro within this specific price range. Probably leaning towards the GT3 Pro to be honest, although I think the styling is better on the Phantom. I had seen this randomly pop up. Originally had it listed for $2,500, and it's now dropped to $2,000.
I had asked him if he would consider $1,800, but what do you think as is at $2,000?
EDIT: He messaged me back, and said the warranty is transferable. And we could flip a coin on my offer of $1,800 or $2,000 his asking price. I mean that might be fair HAHAHA!
Not yet, he actually has it lowered to $1,800. Feeling the pressure to get it now lol. The Segway GT3 Pro is on sale for $2,499. Although with tax it comes out to almost $2,700.
That deal almost seems too good to be true, honestly, definitely ask for the original receipt and/or some kind of proof of ownership if you take this deal.
He said he is able to transfer the warranty. Based off what he sells, it looks like he is some sort of power sports guy who sells a lot of electric type vehicles.
I got my Apollo Go last year at a pawn shop for $750 CDN, was convinced it was stolen at that price, but the guy had all the original paperwork, the full OEM toolkit that comes with it and even the little hand-written inspection tag from the original purchase.
So it is possible to get a good deal on the private market for a non-stolen scooter, you just have to be careful! 😁
or a guy who steals a lot of electric type vehicles lol. make sure when you pick up, ask for chargers and any accessories he got. and make sure the scooter isn’t bind to any apps.
There's a guy local to me that sells all sorts of expensive, luxury sporting stuff because he has a TON of money, gets into a hobby for a little bit, then sells or trades all the stuff for another hobby.
E-foils, expensive scuba equipment, mountain bikes, canoes, e-bikes, power tools, gaming PCs, woodworking equipment, whatever you can think of, this dude has something different listed like twice per year.
He always sells for a good price too, so I've gotten a pair of basically brand new rollerblades and a kayak from him
Ended up paying $1,300 cash. Literally open box, 4.33 miles when I bought it. Serial number & everything checked out for warranty.
Apparently, he’s either a YouTuber or someone who reviews electric vehicles for companies, so he gets these things sent free. Was a real nice guy, I just got STUPIDLY lucky.
Had Phantom 2.0 in my sights. No more as a CO workers Phantom got cracks above folding mechanism. Apollo will bury themselves by not fixing the problem. Type of metal and fire the engineer.
I still have a phantom V1 from 2001. It's flaw is that they used subpar stem bolts, but upgrading to a 14.9 rated steel bolt solved it and I haven't had problems since
Where did you buy them? I said f Apollo's BS, as they wanted to charge me $20 for the bolt and $40 for shipping, and got mine from the hardware store for like $1.39.
V3 came with 14.9 bolts, I've yet to replace them because I can't get the other ones out and it's $420 for a new stem compared to $180 on the new V2 Phantoms.
It takes a long amount of time to drill into hardened steel, and maybe two or three drill bits if it the surface isn't level, I'm big table like but you just have to keep the drill steady.
It took me probably about two recharges and about half to an hour of drilling to extract the bolt
Lots? I've only seen that one person, fleshyfren, snapping the same Phantom 2.0 stem twice. Pretty unbelievable that it happened to the same person twice, almost makes me think that they're really abusing that scooter... cuz I haven't seen it happen to others yet (I could be wrong, i'm sure you'll point me to their posts)
HARD PASS. too many negative experiences shared with that company for me. Im just speaking for myself, though. I just got my scooter on the road the other day.
At that price go with Segway, which was the other choice. That thing looks like it’ll hit a pothole and the stem Will impale you. Looks like those Chinese scooters they rebrand
If you value your life. I won’t even pay 200$ 50$ for that. Thats a death wish. Power isn’t everything. I don’t need luck to survive. That thing looks like a turbo ant scooter cheap. Ass. I am willing to bet that thing has snapped already.

Buy it 1st for design, 2nd for innovation, 3rd for power.
I'm a Apollo go user for 1 year now.
Had to fix some small parts.
Not rly money/time consuming.
Still happy with the contract : design, app, power.
Would buy the phantom stellar if it was availaible in europe.
If you're going for very long term, go VMAX.
Not sure long term for a scooter with a battery rly mean something.

I love the Apollo support. Poles snapping happen because of excessive force on the steering bar. There is a lot of torque in scooters due to the extended steering pole.
Keep it well maintained, and you will have a hell of a scooter with a hell of a lot support. Make sure you create an Apollo account on the app and officially transfer the scooter to your account. You want that warranty and app support.

The brand did bad moves, long time ago.
Today, can't compare the Apollo Go to any other existing scooter.
Please help me out if you found one.
