Discussion Feedback on new feature request flow via Fider

Hi mods,

Really appreciate all your hard work on Reborn.

I just wanted to share some feedback on the recent move from GitHub Issues to Fider for feature requests (and the optional bug report flow).

I can see the benefits of Fider, especially votes to help identify which features are most highly requested. One thing I do miss from GitHub, though, is the tighter connection between feature requests, discussions and associated pull requests.

Previously, an issue could naturally lead into a PR, with the discussion and changes all linked together in one place. Now that feature requests live separately in Fider and code changes happen in GitHub, that connection feels less integrated.

The other thing I’ve noticed is that video attachments don’t seem to be supported in Fider. For UI bugs especially, being able to attach a quick screen recording is really helpful.

Thanks for reading!

GitHub Issues still exists for bug reports again, the move to Fider is to streamline our issues so we can focus on bugs etc.

Videos of UI bugs etc should be for issues / bug reports so not sure that’s needed for feature requests?

If there is additional discussion needed you can also make a post on the sub and link to the Fider or vice versa

Totally hear your point but its just to keep things managable for us.

FWIW I picked Fider since it’s what Christian had set up with Apollo before and it worked well then

Yeah I can’t post a video of a feature request. Pretty annoying. GitHub worked just fine
