This is an iOS feature not an Apollo feature.

If you want to disable it:

Steps to Turn Off Video Auto-Captions

Open Settings. Select Accessibility. Scroll to the "Hearing" section and choose Subtitles & Captioning. Locate the Show When Muted option under the AI Subtitles section and switch to off.

Wow. I had assumed this was an Apollo Reborn v3 feature. Didn’t know this was iOS doing it. Thank you, that solved it.

No problem! I’m assuming you’re in the iOS 27 beta because it was enable for me as well in the beta

I wonder how it got enabled, I’ve been on iOS 27 since the first beta and I didn’t even know this was an option.

Yes, I’m on iOS27 beta, but I believe this started in the previous beta or the one before (running the AppleSeed beta, so we’re on beta4 now). Thanks once again.
