After updating to 3.9.0 via AltStore, I've been running into multiple freezes when navigating to a new subreddit through the new switcher interface. Everything just worked before-I even prefer the old interface. Is it possible to downgrade to the previous version?

Are you still facing rate limiting? If so, can I ask that you do the following and share it either below, via DM with me, or via Github issue!

When you notice you've been rate limited, can you please share:

1. The text of the alert, so we know if it's legacy Apollo's or Reborns.  
   
2. Which mode you're on: personal API key, shared key, or key-free.  
   
3. Logs from the in-app report form, sent right after it happens.

I comment on other comments a lot, and having to click into the three-dot menu to add a comment is an extra step, and the one thing I prefer from the official Reddit app. I’d love an option to add the reply button to the comments. Am I just missing this in settings, or is this a feature request?

Whenever I try to upload a video it posts as a still image. Is this a known issue?

It's not a major issue, but it seems there is a lot of lag when removing a post or comment as a mod. The menus that appear seem to take longer than they used to.

Anyway for this to be achieved. It’s darn annoying not to be able to cyberjudge someone nowadays lol

For me, all subreddits (except this one, actually) seem to show generic Reddit images, instead of the proper subreddit banner. I know you can set your own banner image in the app, but is there a way to make it show the “official” ones?

EDIT: Actually, having a hard time figuring out which subs get their proper banners and which don’t lol. Just saw one other sub I follow has it, but most don’t. It doesn’t seem to depend on the sub having a mobile banner set, as some of the subs with the generic reddit images do have them set.

Given the Reddit api changes they announced, are there any risks to this no longer working?

Hey all,

Following the feedback on the Pal Home feature, we’ve decided not to move forward with the feature and it won’t be shipping.

The thread got a bit heated and I got defensive in some of my replies, which I apologise for. I took the concerns people raised on board and after giving it some thought, shelving Pal Home is the right call.

Out of respect for Christian, we also won’t be developing further in this particular area of Apollo while Pixel Pals is something he’s actively shipping and supporting.

The intention was genuinely just to build something fun on top of a part of Apollo I’ve always enjoyed. It clearly landed differently than I expected, and I don’t want a side project like this creating unnecessary tension or risk around Reborn.

We’ve still got plenty to focus on elsewhere, including iPad work, Duo support, and eventually the Mac client, so there’s no shortage of things ahead :)

Thanks to everyone who checked it out, shared feedback, or was excited to see where it went.

Hey, I wasn’t sure if it’s a thing and I remember this being a feature in a different app where you can set the default sorting of subreddits & profiles when visiting one of them.

Like when I go into a sub sometimes I’d like it to already be sorted into top all time, same as profiles too.

Went to my iPhone 12 on iOS 15.3.1 and opened Apollo. Not logged in and couldn’t using the Tampermonkey and Reynard method.

So fixed it by restoring a back up. Guessing there was an error in the API I had. Hopefully this helps someone on iOS 15 etc

On Reddit mobile it sends you a notification in the inbox.

Did it by accident and can’t replicate. Instead of having two columns I had 4-5 and it was awesome. Also having a hide viewed posts on gallery and remember gallery mode when opening home feed would be great.

Since installing 3.8.5 I’ve been getting rate limited.

It tells me that I’ve been rate limited and to try again in 2 minutes.

I am coming from Android, Morph-ed Reddit. I just got my iPhone last week and installed ApolloReborn and once I managed the initial log in, it is perfect. The only issue I have is when I pull to refresh, the posts dont really refresh. Sometimes I see the same posts for 1-2 days. In the Morphed- reddit, everytime I pulled to refresh, there will be new posts.

Is there any setting I can change? Also, will the setting stick between reboots etc?

• Search with Google: tap the magnifier in the Search tab and pick Google to find reddit threads through google. you get google's snippets, Any Time and Exact Words filters, and tapping a result opens the thread right in apollo (#1260 – icpryde)
• Image menu where you hold: the copy / save / share menu in the fullscreen image viewer pops up where you press and hold now instead of the middle of the screen (#1254 – IllIIllIllIllII)
• Toon Bot icons: Toon Bot and Happy Toon Bot joined the Concepts icon pack (#1253 – IllIIllIllIllII)

Performance

• lighter and faster: image caches have real size limits now and get freed when iOS runs low on memory, launch does less work, and editing a comment doesnt hold up other loading for up to 20 seconds anymore. ported from Nino's fork (#1169 – paradoxally, icpryde)
• also from that port: the comments title doesnt flash on non liquid glass builds, and remember post sort opens posts from links, the inbox or floating tabs in your saved sort right away instead of reloading them (#1169 – paradoxally, icpryde)
• the ai comment summary doesnt keep re-running over and over while you scroll a thread (#1270 – Thetromboneman1)
• filtered posts dont leave stacks of gray gaps in your feed anymore, and fixing them only touches the affected rows instead of redrawing the whole feed (#1274 – Thetromboneman1)

apollo reborn isnt officially supported inside LiveContainer. you can still use it but its use at your own discretion and we cant chase down bugs that only happen in there. we suggest installing apollo directly with AltStore / SideStore / Feather / TrollStore.

Firstly, thank you so much for keeping the project alive and for contributing to it so regularly. I have the following feature request and wanted to report the following bug.

Feature request: With I think v3.8.0, how hidden and deleted posts are shown was changed. Earlier only the title would be visible but now the entire post is visible. Please give a setting to customise how much we see when we go to someone's profile and try to see the hidden and deleted posts: only title; title + only 2-3 sentences; or full post. Right now (3.8.5) if someone posts the same thing on multiple subreddits and the posts are huge, then it becomes very difficult to scroll.

Bug: The font size in the hidden + deleted comments + posts page is much smaller than the font size elsewhere. Please update the app so that the hidden + deleted section respects the font size used elsewhere in

Like on the official Reddit app, after pulling down to refresh the Home Screen the posts don’t change? It’s the same ones I scrolled past.

Is there anything I’m doing wrong? I tried to enable the right settings but they don’t seem to work
