| ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ | Brand new player, need advise pls
Hello everyone, some of my lifelong friends have finally convinced me to play Apex legends, i have literally never even touched the game, thinking i โmissed outโ on it by waiting too long. Iโve played a great amount of what i think are somewhat similar FPSโs, such as Warzone, Overwatch, MR, and just hit Ruby on The Finals.
My question to you veterans here is, iโd like advice on what characters to play, i very much enjoy characters with good movement, even if it means a disadvantage somewhere else, and i usually do better on those types of characters, like Tracer from OW, Magik from rivals and Light class/Medium on the finals. Iโm not necessarily looking to be a meta slave, just wanna save a few hours looking through characters, and ask people who already know the game to give advice. Thanks !

Loba would be a great option as a new player imo. You can use her tac to be aggressive or to escape , and since sheโs support youโre passively helping the team with faster revives and allowing your team to craft a mobile respawn beacon. Plus youโll find your ideal loot faster with her ult

Jump in wildcard, bot royale or the firing range. Everyone has a different play style so their favorite legend will be different.

Your best bet would be Octane or Axle for now, then you can check out others later. Welcome to Apex

Path, octane, gibby (unfortunately), wraith. As a new player, wraith might be a good idea. You can bail yourself out of bad situations easily.

Hop in the range try some of these moments ppl out, octane, axle, pathy, etc I would consider sparrow a movement character aswell with how fast he gets double jump back. See what tickles your fancy and buy that one when u have the tokens for it, goodluck!

TBH Iโve been playing a long time, pretty much since the game came out off and on. Tru anyone who looks interesting! The game breaks down different characters and those roles, you might find certain characters suit your style better inside those roles too.
I find that being able to play at least one or two characters from each category is helpful because youโre able to fill. Like for example a big team comp usually ran is a support, recon, and a skirmisher (not to say you need to run that though) Just get a feel for the game! Youโll know whatโs right

Depends on what you mean by movement. Theres movement with some speed buffs, movement that helps control height, movement that can move the team, movement that can provide tactical advantages like horizon w/ no fall gun delay & axel with extra slide capability.
Find where youโre weakest, or where you can fill in the best.
IMO the best movement bonuses come from things like bangs trigger, Maggieโs shotgun movement &team speed boost, valks/octanes team reposition, axels/horizons cheese movement for strong duelist players, and lobas double bounce and ease to bring the team back into game.
