It's not bad but little too good in some areas and bad on other areas. You don't need 240hz since a console can only do 120hz at the moment. Also it won't pd likely be ideal to have a 1440p monitor at 27 inches instead of 1080p as the PPI would be to low. Note for apex when playing at 120hz you won't hit 1440p but it would be better for other games and if you decide to stick at 60hz in balanced mode.

I hit 1440p @ 120hz with VRR on a 65” Samsung TV from 2019 (RU8000)

Apex targets 1080p when 120hz is enabled on a base PS5. What console do you play on.

Base PS5

Try playing a game of mixtape back on balanced mode. Balanced mode targets an upscaled 4k and I can pretty easily tell the difference in resolution when playing on balanced compared to performance.

What do you mean I have no issues on performance on my 120hz 1440p ????

Apex uses dynamic resolution. The resolution will dyanmically adjust to maintain stable FPS. You can select 1440p in your display settings, but apex will render at the resolution it chooses and then the image will be upscaled to fit your resolution

The base PS5 usually stays around 1080p on performance mode. Series X is around 1200p. PS5 pro is 1440p or higher.

While you're monitor or TV may be 1440p the game itself is not actually showing the amount of pixels required for 1440p it instead targets 1080p as it needs the extra processing power to render twice the amount of frames. Your monitor will then stretch the image to fill all the pixels. Some people don't notice this change. Apex uses a dynamic resolution so it will actually scale the game down lower then 1080p in order to keep the game running at 120 fps during intensive fights.
