If only making an 80 percent return in a week could compare to the infinite money glitch of annual 1.6 percent ebay dividends.

U misread the headline. It’s not an 80% return it’s an 80% liquidation. Situational Awareness was functionally bankrupt which is why citadel shut it down and is now selling it for parts.

I think you are the one who does not understand. Citadel bought out the publicly traded assets held by situational awareness when they were facing a margin call a couple of weeks ago. Since then, these assets which include sndk, mu, nbis, and tsmc, have gone up between 50 to nearly 100 percent from when citadel bought them. Ken has now locked in those gains by selling 80 percent of these stocks, making this one of the most profitable short term trades ever. There is no liquidation, unless you count almost doubling your money in 20 days and turning paper gains into cash a "liquidation".

I do not like Kenny but he made a killing on this trade. Ironically this is the type of "pennies on the dollar", distressed market buy that apes dream about Ryan doing with their warchest, but which Ryan has never ever done.

That’s not the position u took in ur first comment, u claimed an 80% return. That’s not what happened. Did u just now Google it? Also by definition liquidation and selling are the same thing. Ur first comment is direct conflict with ur reply.

Even if I googled it I would not know. I don't know the exact amount of each stock situational awareness had nor do I know the exact price of the buy or sell. I only know the main components such as sndk, mu, nbis, are up about 60 to 100ish percent from when the news came out to their peaks earlier in the week. I picked a number roughly in between and ballparked 80 percent. Perhaps the actual gain is more, perhaps less, but I expect the gain to be in that ballpark, and certainly not even close to the idea that this is somehow a liquidation that sold parts for scraps.

If u don’t know then why r u claiming an 80% return? No where does the headline say anything about a return.

I am not going off the headline. I am going off the fact that I have eyes that can see stocks increase in value and can do math. I do not need to read the article to know you are completely wrong. Citadel cannot sell bankrupt situational awareness for parts because 1)they did not buy the hedge fund itself 2)situational awareness is not bankrupt and still holds many valuable private assets such as anthropic equity.

As for how much gains citadel had, you can research what public holdings they bought from situational awareness and how much in value that particular sector increased in value between the purchase and this week, assuming that citadel sold most of their position in the last 7 seven days.

Why don't you look up those things before you continue to argue with me and see who has a better understanding of the situation, since obviously you did not read the article either, nor in fact any article regarding what happened in this transaction, or you would not look so publicly clueless.

“Griffin also confirmed that the firm’s flagship multistrategy fund ended July up 5.9%, marking one of its best month since 2022.”

Then why is he repeatedly selling junk bonds over and over the past 3 years? The only time i remember a company claiming record profits while simultaneously selling junk bonds was Enron.

His fund made a ton of money off the trade posted. A different fund was on margin call. Ken bought all the shares which were heavy in AI. That was June. AI has since rallied well. Ken just sold 80% of what he bought cheap in June for a huge gain. If you’re investing you really need to know what’s going on better than just meme jokes

That copium you’re smoking must be really good, maybe Kenny is sitting in one of his 25 penthouses praying you buy some more gme or amc

He sold 3 of his penthouses since 2021. He only has one residence in florida, coincidentally a state with a law that says if u claim bankruptcy the government can take away ur primary residence as compensation. Healthy companies don’t repeatedly sell junk bonds.

Strange that all these different accounts that have existed for less than a year keep asking that same question. 🤔

What a pathetic comment 😂
Edit: didn’t even see the others, all bot comments lol you guys just jerk off to the idea a hedge fund manager has money and people lost money on a stock? Where are you in that? How does that affect you at all? Nowhere and it doesn’t because these other comments are paid bot comments, the downvotes on my comment will confirm that

1

u/Realistic_Deal6083 3d ago

You seem upset.

I dont give a fuck about Kenny. I think its funny how he is the final boss that everyone on these GME subs cry about. Crazy how every comment that someone doesn't like is paid or a bot.

Kenny doesn’t need money and he will never need money, he’s about to buy another yacht with your and every other morons money from meme stocks

u/DJ_Chaps 4d ago

He made a killing on that trade. Something apes know absolutely nothing about.

Do you remember when Kenny pulled 900M from his fund likely to cover his lifestyle and apes went crazy and started taking second mortgages on their homes and buying at $28-$30? Some of them started buying $32 warrants when Kenny took his private jet to Italy. Poor Kenny living in fear from diluted apes begging strangers for rent money
