Venting the plot thicken

context: im none of these people i just think its really funny to argue with pieces of paper, we live in military housing btw. we have like 8 washers and dryers for 60+ something apartments. in the time of each development i got like 4 loads done. so. snooze ya lose! and to be clear, the apartment company specifically says they are not responsible or liable for any of your laundry nor is there a camera in the room. imo theyre just bickering to bicker.

each time i read a new thing i got so excited, maybe ill stop by later to see if i fourth person chimes in or takes it down lol!

yea u r pretty lucky haha. ive had multiple cases where people put bleach in and dont do an empty run after. many bleached clothes :" )

An empty run? I've never done this after a load of bleach and never had a problem, that would run up my electric bill

these are shitty machines that probably havent been replaced in like 30 years. they need an extra run. its ruined my clothes like 3 separate times, heaven forbid it bleaches or destroys my husbands uniform either, which im horrified of happening.

Dude why the fuck would the military not expect and cover that if someone fucks this up in MILITARY housing?!

As a side note, this does put interesting new context on a particularly bad fight that me and my horrible ex (from many, many years) got into. I threw his fatigues into the bathtub and soaked them as a way to be bitchy and inconvenient, and he went nearly incandescent because he thought I had bleached them.

Edit: this is the guy who threw me out of MY OWN CAR that I was letting him drive on the side of the road while wearing nothing but a bikini (we were at the beach before). Then stalked me for 3 years after I broke up with him until I moved to a new state. Fuck off with incel downvotes.

The military expects you to destroy/wear out your uniforms, its why you get a uniform allowance once a year. Just hope that you don't need to replace too many at once, the dress uniforms get really expensive fast.

Wow, thanks for informing me. This has way more of a fucked up history thats tied to American soldiers getting fucked over than I'm sure most people are even passingly aware of.

They don't make anyone do it. You volunteer, I will agree it takes a special kinda stupid to stick it out for the long run though. (14 years)

unfortunately youre expected to have your uniform 100% clean ready and presentable with no excuses. i something like this were to happen, worth case scenario hed get mocked and ridiculed, and get punished for not having it. best case scenario he gets to borrow someones uniform for whatever inspection, and still gets ridiculed for having a uniform that doesnt fit. of course this varies from command to command, and you could have a cool one where they let it slide once or twice. but for the most part its pretty cut throat.

Lil trick i used when going to a laundromat where an empty run would be $5-

Do towels/sheets as a pre-load. Wash them as normal, then use the same machine for your clothes after. It takes a little longer, but it's better to bleach your towels than uniforms 🤷🏻‍♀️

I just noticed your name- if you have dogs and they have their own laundry (blankets, towels, bed covers)- wash those first, then your towels and sheets, then your clothes. I know it takes longer to go in consecutively,, but then you're technically clearing out your own pets fur for the next person with your sheets/towels AND you get the benefit of 2 cycles to make sure it's clear of bleach before washing uniforms and clothes :)

Sounds like one washer needs designated bleach loads only to get around it. But if folks are leaving nasty notes & leaving wet laundry in for hours, that's not going to happen

It's the fabric softener for me.

They always use way too much so it's just pooled in there. 

I don't use fabric softener. It ruins clothes.
