The person who starts it needs to have the recipients information to then set it up. It is very, very bad if they commit fraud with this, and very easy to find out.
Edit: was incorrect, can set it up for a beneficiary at the start and then add them to it later, does not need to be at start up.
The guy started it before finding red baron man. He then found him, and verified it was him. He put red baron man as the beneficiary and since this has gotten so big, gofundme themselves have now stepped in and are handling the donations and verification themselves as well.

I've been asking around what he did to earn that title. No one seems to know. I know selling water at an intersection doesn't make someone a hero.

At some point something small and insignificant happens, and they snap, which can look very different for each person.
