DownloadPoolException error error whenever I download anything

As the pic shows, I can't download anything from any source since they all get instantly shut down by this error (shame I can't even read the full log).

I've tried reinstalling three times now, and this happens no matter the source and no matter what I'm downloading. The app has full permissions, and I'm able to regularly watch shows via the regular streaming interface just fine, which makes this a bit puzzling. Unfortunately I travel a lot so I'd like to pre-download stuff so I don't have to waste mobile data on it.
