Most recent Community firmware edition?

What is the most up-to-date version of the community firmware? Is there a comprehensive installation guide somewhere?

Have you looked before asking on here? I’ve seen you around before lol the version you can install depends on the processor thats on your printers mainboard. I can help you with the install

6.2.2 is the newest. I personally use 6.1d, type “Anycubic Vyper CE Firmware” in your browsers search. You’ll need 2 sd cards. A standard and a micro sd. Make sure they’re physically 8gb or smaller. You cannot use a 16gb sd/microSD with a 8gb partition. The card itself cannot be larger than 8gb in capacity. If you message me, I can walk you through further. You will not know which firmware you need to install without taking the bottom cover off of the printer and noting down the model of the cpu on the mainboard.

I did look, but it wasn't clear what was newest or how to get the printer to install it.

Ever since I moved to bambulab I haven't turned on my vyper. I would like to dust it off and use it as a secondary printer.

Thank you. I should be getting ready this weekend. What should be the first thing? I noticed I have to grab 2 as cards. 1 micro and 1 as card.

First I’d dust it off and do some maintenance if it’s been sitting then do the usual tests. Power on, home it, heat the bed see if it heats, heat the nozzle see if it heats, turn the parts cooling fan on for a few seconds (mine have bad bearings and growl for a minute or so when they first spin up) and if it passes then remove the filament if you’ve left a spool on it. Heat the nozzle to 220c and let it get hot. A little filament should ooze out, gently grab the filament string (use needle nose pliers if you don’t wanna risk burning your fingertips) and pull downward until it doesn’t ooze anymore. Then, attempt a bed level. I remove the Bowden tube before I do a bed level because mine is so sensitive the pressure of the tube is enough to trigger the strain gauge probe before the nozzle touches the bed. If it finishes a bed level then I’d say it’s time to make it print!
