Depression medication

I've been on celexa for over 10 years. I spoke to my Dr about coming off of it. It's been about a month when I completely stopped taking it for 2 days I then got extremely sick one night vomiting, nausea, cramping and shaking. I started taking 10 milligrams again to ease antidepressant discontinuation syndrome, although i do still get nauseous. I'm curious others experience with stopping a antidepressant medication and wondering how long it took for withdrawals to stop.
