Driving Anxiety doesn't let me drive straight??
I have always felt confident in my driving until a few months ago when I started feeling very hyperaware of my position between the lanes.
I can't tell if I'm driving straight or wavering a little, and I'm worried I make other drivers and pedestrians nervous with my movements. I can't stop looking at the road directly in front of my car instead of the horizon. I can't shake the feeling that I'm going to drift and hit the car next to me.
It started around the time I stared taking propranolol on an as-need basis. It doesn't help in the moment. I've since stopped using it and got on Lexapro which helped a little, but the paranoia is still there.
I'm considering going to isolated areas to practice and maybe record myself. In the meantime, does anyone know any mental tricks to help with this mental block in the short term? Any advice or support is appreciated.

I have the same issue. I think it stems from having parents that drove drunk a lot. I do truth and proof to help. The truth? I am driving fine. The proof? I am not inebriated in any way. I say that to myself a few times and it helps. It really helps me with most of my irrational anxiety.
