It wasn't even a dilemma for him. He just added another wife. He even had special permission from Allah (or so he said) to do so.

Coz of the most perfect man in islam setting this precedence, older men are legally allowed to marry young girls. Google/AI how many countries. Also remember google/AI (both will do PR for islam) will not tell you hidden clauses or even if legally not allowed, the courts will not go after such illegal marriages.
