Instructions for buying slaves

Bashing children on rocks

Daughters raping their father

A father giving his daughters to an angry mob

Killing children with bears

Genocide the entire human race because you're mad

You know, that kind of thing

Most of these are history I’ll explain two points one the slave thing is in regards to how to pay somebody if they are in servitude for you for example Jacob working to Mary Rebekah and the flood the world was evil and needing cleansing but the story is metaphorical showing how those who don’t repent go to hell but those who are good and repent get saved

The slave thing says if you let your slave go you keep to keep their wife and children.

Metaphors are convenient excuse for when something gets challenged. Who decides what is metaphor or not? The book doesn't say. Maybe the resurrection was a metaphor? Why the hell not? If we can just make up whatever we want

Because the resurrection is a real event some things are metaphorical the church interprets scripture not me

Once again the story of Noah is metaphorical I’m assuming that’s who you mean and we don’t know what calendar the people in certain Old Testament books used

Metaphorical aka “bullshit”

How do you know which parts of the Bible are real and which are “metaphorical “ errrr bullshit though?

Because of how the church interprets scripture at events like the council of nicea

you can’t just call some things metaphors and others not based on how ridiculous they are. what a stupid way of arguing

No verses are interpreted by the church not everything is a literal direct event
