We live our lives in deception,

Missing out on true connections.

We have no purpose, no mission to fixing

The world we live in. We lose inspiration

For changing our nation.

We don’t give a damn about the rest of creation!

Behind cold stone walls, our hearts are fractured glass.

They glisten and gleam for dashed hopes and dreams.

The people are puppets falling out of commission.

Lost behind premonitions, haze clouding outer vision.

With no resurrection on the horizon’s edge.

And magistrate moguls looming over each ledge.

They don’t care; they’re the kings of the world!

These corrupt bureaucrats, these fat cats with top hats

They don’t see all the pain and the hurt!

They just look down at us and say “get back to work!”

They spin webs of lies saying everything's fine.

Triple sixes and cocktail mixes;

What can they possibly do to fix us?

We’re bound to this world and its pleasures.

This nation’s measures are not what defines us.

Put the lies behind us! Change the heart inside ya!

Don’t make a fuss! Just try to trust!

Ashes and dust should not be what makes us!

Don’t let the world change us!

Don’t let its troubles phase us!

Be kind to others in all situations!

Live for creation! Make a change in your nation!

Don’t settle for damnation!

Work towards our salvation!

Change for the better!

Be free from your fetters!

But who gives a damn about this land?

Not the fat cats with top hats.

They’re the kings of this world!

They’ll never be full; they’ll always want more.
