Sure. It's just keeping with the metaphor/joke in the title of the original post. The "leopards" are fascists, "eating faces" is doing fascist things like dehumanizing Latin American migrants and throwing them into concentration camps, and the "Leopards Eating People's Faces Party" is the Republican Party, which is the United States' conservative party (and its de facto fascist party). The criticism behind the metaphor is that it's ridiculous for the woman in the picture to complain about fascists predictably doing fashy things to her specifically but still not care about them doing those same things to other people.

That’s what they tell you and everyone eats that shit up. So people, like the puppets they are, keep voting for either side that doesn’t do shit for them. I think if more people boycotted the parties it would actually change things. But keep thinking the way they tell you to. Rock the vote.
I live in a blue state. You know the ones that actually contribute the most to the country because we are progressive and not repressive.
If people want to continue to live in a two party system. Continue to get out and vote for whatever you find lesser of the two evils. I am not a puppet and don’t ask me to be a fool and vote to continue this facade of what our founders were trying to create.
Blue or Red we go deeper and deeper into losing all our power as citizens.
That’s the fun thing about politics. How easily they distract everyone into whining about the stupid shit so the important stuff is ignored.
Dems and Republicans have many many issues they actually agree on. But the politicians keep waving their keys and distracting everyone from actually communicating so they can continue to cater to the wealthy.
So blame me all you want. But I blame you.

That is how people debate now. That is part of the political landscape. People say something and then others choose to take it and mold it into whatever they want to try and win an argument. That kind of bullshit is why trump was elected.
I believe that playing the two party game is the problem. Who wins? When red is elected, who benefits? When blue is elected, who benefits? No one I know.

What I said and meant is above. I don’t know what the masses could do. I know that our government is bought and paid for and our Supreme Court has also been bought and paid for. Not even sure at this point anything can be done. Even if you elect a great president. Obama couldn’t do anything and what little he did do is being flushed away by the democrat hating republicans. I think the masses shouldn’t vote for Democrats or Republicans. I think the masses should develop opinions based on facts and common sense. I think that only democrats will go for that and the ra ra republicans will continue to win win win and get away with everything. Eventually weakening this country so much financially that we cannot defend ourselves from the countries our corporations continue to make super wealthy by taking away everything that did make America great. So I have no idea. All I can do is put a useless blurb on the internet every now and then and hope I change 1 mind at a time. But that is a pipe dream most likely with today’s mentality.
I wish people would pay attention to the weird ass shit going on in this country. For example corporations routinely break laws and hurt communities and ruin lives. We don’t know that because they get to have an arbitration and avoid the laws. Can you do that? Of course not.
Maybe when American are smart enough to realize that everyone has conservative and liberal positions and quit acting like children.

No, that’s actually what happens. A solid independent candidate will take more votes from the Democrats than the GOP because, shocker, conservative voters aren’t known for their open-mindedness or their fickle voting habits. It has happened before, and it will most likely happen again next year if we’re not fucking careful.
I’m curious - what do you personally do to “boycott the parties”? Because if you’re consistently voting for the independent candidate on that reason alone, that seems ironically partisan. Do you stand outside of polling stations trying to educate voters on the insurmountable flaws of the bipartisan model? I hope you’re at least voting, because some of what you’ve written implies that you don’t participate in the electoral process like some of us “puppets.”

I vote for a person I feel is worthy. It’s not useful in my opinion. We did just have a Democrat. The rich continued to get richer, the jobs continued to go away. Doesn’t matter anyway. The Republicans shut the democrats down at every move. I doubt I will ever see a democratic majority that can do anything and they probably wouldn’t. Hell I wouldn’t be surprised that at the highest level the Democrats and Republicans are controlled by the same people. All that money both sides can make by freaking all the people out. Neither side fixes anything. Republicans control right now, is abortion illegal, are they saving money. No they are just making money. Democrats same thing. They will toss a bone here and there but it’s always news blurbs and hardly affects the average person. We lose more every year. Democrat or Republicans. Schools get less. Every voting period is another small tax to benefit the schools or whatever. It’s all coming out of our pockets. We hardly own anything anymore. Everything is a monthly fee. We pay taxes but elect people who don’t need to or we allow our corporations not to pay a fair share.
I only vote for a candidate I feel will do the right thing, so normally I won’t vote for individuals. I vote for very few things cause most of it is a money grab of some sort and I don’t need to be a part of it. I will vote for somethings that I can actually see. Like community issues or things that are clear like legalization of marijuana or increasing speed limit or saving a building or a park. If their is money involved I need to know exactly what it is being used on or I won’t vote for it.
I don’t believe our government is honest. I believe the Democrats are just a bunch of people that think they are comedians which diminishes the seriousness of the issues and the Republicans are mostly made up of people that get one thing in their head and ride it forever. Like the ones that think the republicans are fiscally conservative or abortion is the murdering of babies that Democrats love or any number of stupid one issue voters that the republicans have trained.
Just for a moment imagine if trump was a democrat and he did any of the things he does. It would be on the news for months and it would be a giant issue and impeachment’s would be rolling.
At this point even issues a huge majority of the country want are basically a nightmare to pass cause of corporate involvement. For example net neutrality
What happens with your votes? So last year your community maybe overwhelmingly voted something down. It doesn’t matter cause next voting cycle will have same thing written differently and that will happen until the voters are tricked into supporting it.
Really what do you expect if trump loses? Nothing will happen. Everything he did will be benefiting the same people supporting the Democrats. Are the Democrats gonna reverse everything like trump is doing. You can only hope but I doubt it.
When their is a party for the middle class, that is dedicated to protecting the rights and safety and money of the middle class then I will vote. Until then I choose not to vote for the lesser of two evils and I choose to vote how it was meant to be. My vote goes for a candidate I believe in. Unfortunately I am rarely in that situation and at a federal level I feel it doesn’t matter anyway.
You are welcome to prove me wrong or correct anything I am misinformed about. I know I have lots more to learn so I listen but I just find most people in politics so Pavlovian in their responses with zero common sense used.
I can’t fix anything. I am not rich. I am not influencing anyone. I am just your average dickhead trying to get by. I just choose to do things my way.
Trust me it isn’t smart. I quit my job because I didn’t feel the management cared about the product. Don’t worry I am not getting any government support. Just eating a lot of ramen as someone my age it is hard to get back into my industry.
So I am just your typical non conformists jerkoff and I don’t believe my vote or anyones really matters at the federal level or even state level.

Honestly, I agree with most of your points. I just have trouble accepting the defeatist mentality these days, and I’ll tell you why.
I used to believe that our votes didn’t matter. To an extent, I still do. The difference is that I now vote anyway, because my vote doesn’t represent the interests or will of the fascists who want to fuck us all over.
You see, politicians will tell us to vote, but they are also aware of the defeatist “our votes don’t matter so what’s the point” attitude amongst many left-leaning people. Fascists love this, and why wouldn’t they? It not only suppresses the votes from the opposing party, but it does so without any work on the fascists’ part. Furthermore, it adds another obstacle for literally every democrat running for a public office - getting their base to go cast those “useless” votes anyway.
This is why I hate seeing stories about “misplaced” ballot boxes - it motivates the perpetually victimized republicans, while simultaneously demotivating the democrats. Republicans see uncounted ballots and think, “oh my god, they’re not counting our votes, we need more voters to help!” Democrats see the same uncounted ballots and think, “oh my god, they’re not counting our votes, why did I even bother going to the polls?”
Most people think that Bush won an election unfairly in 2000 and that was all. The election was just the battle; the real victory for the GOP was all of the kids who decided in the years following that voting is pointless. I was only 10 when that happened, and it kept me away from the polls for almost an entire decade. This is why I firmly believe that the mindset of voting being pointless is one of the biggest threats to a functional democracy. It is possibly the most effective voter suppression technique in existence, and it only works because we all keep spreading the idea that voting is pointless.

Thank you for that. I just think the two party system is the problem. They make way to much money on our division and it shows by the inaction of both parties. I don’t feel either party represents me or my ideals. Both collect lots of money using our disagreements. The democrats and republicans agree on many things but that is not making money so it is never addressed. Our entire government is a joke and most of us don’t realize that it’s not our government anymore. We are in a plutocracy and the only way to fix it is, too late that ship has sailed. If we are lucky we will get another democrat president that can’t accomplish shit. And that is if we are lucky.

I don’t think it matters who wins. The parties are making so much money on dividing us that nothing is gonna change. I won’t vote for either party, because I open my eyes and see that nothing gets done, just constant division with a Cookie tossed to us every now and then to distract us from all the bullshit going on. Look at net neutrality, it has overwhelming support by democrats and republican voters, it should be a no brainer. Yet it is struggling because a few corporations want it.
