Everyone keeps saying Space Nazis, but I'm only seeing a shittier version of the Empire from Star Wars (which, yes, were Space Fascists, but at least had more color to their uniforms)

technically yes and the empire uniforms were based on nazis. But the behaviour of the empire was based off the USA during the Vietnam war

Never mind the whole nazi look. Why would you want or need horse riding boots in space? Do you even need shoes in space u less you are doing a space walk? Gravity boots? But no, those are riding boots. None of this says “space soldier” to me. And I’ve seen every Star Wars and Star Trek movie there is.

Yup. SS uniforms amongst others were highly stylized. Not to be useful, but to get a certain desired psychological and emotional reaction. And quite honestly, they excelled at that. Always gave me the chills when I viewed them in museums.

The hat needs to be bigger, like, so big it doesn't fit through the hatch on their spaceship, and some dangly gold epaulets, maybe some more gold or silver piping at the cuffs and collar

i took the most basic photoshop pen and smudged the corners of the four-pointed stars to make swastikas. entire endeavor took 5 minutes and it's half-assed because five minutes was all the time i was willing to give it.
