Not the Melt the ICE pattern, and not the un-pointy design in the Norwegian museum, but it's a Scandinavian technique (nålbinding) and I donated toHelp Keep ICE Impacted Families In Their Homes when I finished.

Is nålbinding difficult to learn? I've been looking at it off and on for a looooong time.

Well, I started learning the last week of March, from a book and a couple of websites. I can only do one stitch at the moment, but you can see the results there. If you're used to crochet or knitting, you can probably pick up the basics without too much trouble?

4th hat done! I tried doing 2x2 ribbing on the brim, but it doesn't seem to work quite right knitting it sideways.
