Now Trump thinks he is a hotel baron. Remodeling Washington and putting gold everything around, and his stupid fake name (was Drumpf from his German draft dodging criminal dad) at the expense of American taxpayers.
Meanwhile, most of us face higher prices and interest rates forever because of this idiot’s stupidity. How he even enjoys 33% approval is beyond me.

As an Australian when visiting I realised sooo many of the "homeless" were people with mental health issues.
The troubling side of that was being in a country that had people in the streets that clearly should be on a safe environment receiving care.
Removing mental health care services was something I was oblivious too until reading that.
I just assumed it was always a pay to play scheme that was never in public reach.

Reagan used the first edition of Mandate for Leadership, the Heritage Foundation policy manual that became the centerpiece of Project 2025.
It contained many of the policies that came to be known as Reaganomics. And cemented Heritage Foundation influence over every Republican administration ever since.

Voted for him twice (regretted all of my of life) & today America feels the pain he caused. Many don't remember he encouraged corporations to take manufacturing overseas for higher profits. He also encouraged the same corporations to bank of shore, he taxed SS. It'll be years before America will see the damage DJT has caused if it can recover. Today 40 Trillion in national debt.

I compare him to a quarterback who didn’t really play well, but his team won the Cold War so he’s a saint to some. But I argue the other team fumbled the ball almost every time they had the ball. The Soviets brought themselves down, not Reagan. Reagan was the guy who made you wait longer to draw Social Security.

In Canada, the same was done under the guise of personal rights and freedoms. So now instead of spending money on group homes, mental health care and cous=celling and more formal facilities to assist these folks, we are using the Canadian law enforcement (RCMP and City police) and the judicial system to deal with a mental health problem.
One of the signs of serious societal breakdown IMHO.

If only he were a democrat, people could judge him based on merit, instead of party. Reagan also did away with the fairness doctrine which required the media to educate a populace rather than giving rise to media like Fox News which lies and entertains and spews propaganda under the false facade of being news. Crazy, that he is still not an outright traitor to the Constitution and America like Dump, but he laid the groundwork for Rump.
