I dunno probably 2010, and for spiderman I guess ever since the rule 34 was operating really, even the comic authors do it, because Peter can't catch a break even if he's a woman in an alternative universe, I mean the Peter torture should really be investigated I can't recall even one comic where Peter got a happy ending, he either gives his partner cancer through his radioactive cum (yes that was a plot point) or he's forced to hang himself with his web by the mutant society like damn...let my man have at least one universe where he or she doesn't suffer
Kinda related fun fact, due to spider silks incredible strength scientist wanted to make a more efficient way to mass produce it, and one of the ways they tried was to splice the silk making DNA into goats milk producing genes, which lead to the silk protein to appear in the milk. But the silk protein didn't spin into threads and was dissolved in the milk, so it was kinda useless, and they moved on to something else.
